I pray for you. My mom's been gone since the early 2000's. I've existed but haven't lived since she left this earth and she would be so very disappointed. I hope it's not too hypocritical for me to ask that you find many moments of light , of joy in honor of your mother

It's been 25 years and every time I think of her it feels like 25 min ago. That pain stays the same throughout the years when it takes you over but it is HER that helps me cope when I think of how GREAT of a life she lived and all she taught me
I'm so sorry you're still feeling this way. I lost my dad 2 years ago and I couldn't imagine still feeling that anguish as fresh as you feel yours. It's a terrible pain that feels like it'll never subside. I'm glad time has healed for me so I feel for you. I hope one day it will feel a little easier
I am the mother who was shot five times at close range while working as a probation officer in Detroit. I want to hear, from a child’s point of view what it felt like to get such devastating news, so I read this book. Thank you. I was able to get a fresh perspective regarding the shooting.
We take a lot of things for granted, but the message I got from this is value and spend as much time with the people you love every chance you get because once their gone, you can't get that time back. Never take anyone or anything in life for granted. And always remember that wonderful moments you had with them and not focus on tragedy. It could be difficult, but the good times are what will get you through it.
Heartfelt condolences. Wow, this made me think. I was able to speak with Mom aka Ma Soldier, our last words "I love you". She baked me a pound cake the week prior. I was deep in my feelings, my thoughts were, why are all the people pure of heart are leaving this place? My Dad said " God don't owe us nothing. She belongs to Him." I will forever be a Mama's girl, she was my best friend. It was Jesus Christ that helped me.🙏🏽🫶🏽
