Roblox RUINED The Classic Event...
What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX - interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything - be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.

A good game for the classic hunt would be combat initiation because it is modern, but classic looking and feeling. (Game where you fight off waves of enemies)

well, roblox really didn't even try to make specific classics like Natural Disaster Survival, Dinosaur Hunter (i kinda consider this a classic so if you do not agree. Ehh alright), Bake a Cake, or even Be an Alien Renewal.
Instead, we've been backstabbed once more. Adding the non-classic games such as TDS, PS99, TTD and many non-classics. We really don't obtain nice things as we pass through the years.

they kinda did tho on the lobby, they did some deep research on how a classic roblox game felt. some of the features in it i comepletly forgot even existed i remembered becuase i saw them in the lobby, and you dont need to play the portal games, the lobby has enough gamemodes.

All I hope for is that the devs at least put in some effort to make it classic theme and fun. That’s literally the only way this event could be decent.
What I would had liked it to be though is a story gameplay where players are taken to a portal that time travels them back in time and do different quests of popular games like sword battles and paintball battles and putting in mini events in the story where you have a mini egg hunt and mini Christmas and October events they did in the past. It would be really cool as it gives you a decent taste of what old Roblox had to offer.
And the accessories that you would be able to obtain would go with the style of the quest that you do being one of the things I put in there of old Roblox era.

The whole point of the classic was to celebrate how much years the platform has been around
this is really unfortunate since i had started playing roblox in 2014 so i basically barely missed peak roblox (classic roblox) and i was looking forward to this because i wanted to experience what i had missed but it seems as though they are gonna fuck it up like every other event
No, Its really simple if they want games to be in the event only pick out games that tried in the hunt and didn’t actually just say play the game for one hour
I still have hope. The Hunt was the first event Roblox has done in a long time, and this is just the second! We only have one modern Roblox event to look off of, and yes, the portals are a bit hard to dismiss.. but we shouldn’t be all grumpy and pouty and assume the worst, at least we’re being given something! If I remember correctly they also said they’ll be using The Hunt as an example to improve further events! Though, I can’t trust them to stay with their word after what’s been going on for the past few years (Roblox not listening to the community…).

I love how we complain about not getting good events and that now we still are complaining about the decent events.
fyi update: its looking hopeful now, Kreek met with the Roblox Events Team like last week when he tried to infiltrate Roblox HQ and they all told Kreek that they 100% heard the feedback, also about the godawful Skibidi TD game they also went hard during their integration according to the leaks, chat are we saved?
I mean I was expecting the hunt but classic looking the entire time, so I'm not exactly disappointed about that. It's more so that there's a bunch of classic games that they could've picked but prefer to completely avoid them, and make two stupidly overpriced bundles that aren't even classic themed (except for the imitation valk that doesn't fit properly on their classic avatars).

I thought it was gonna be something like doing different quests in every game and having old games be in the event where there would be areas from the old maps and all and overall just a huge nostalgia hit. This isn’t what I expected. Only 4 days to complete it as well.
what would be really cool is if on the website during the event they change the logo up in the top left corner back to the 2017 version temporarily
For me personally the event shouldve added atleast 25 quality games, with 10 of the best games in the hunt in the classic event they couldve atlesst added more og games like mm2 etc overall the event is fun,
Toilet tower defense is in the classic event... welp 1 out of 5 days will be me crying... 15 games and ttd is one of them... i hate this game so much i have no hope for roblox if they cant take it down
Im so annoyed that when i joined the game with a lil leak it said i joined 2024 when i made a new acc cuz my old acc from 2011 got locked out for password reset and it never worked
the game that i most hated in the hunt was dress to impress, i know that the quest was easy, but, i have a trash computer, and it keeps lagging, and it RESETS everytime one round ends, thats terrible, thats disappointing roblox... I thought that the games aren't going to be that laggy.. BUT WHY AGAIN?!

they couldve chose fashion famous instead for various reasons. Its older and more nostalgic to player and used to be the most famous dressing game on roblox. it also features kinda normal avatars if u compare it to dress to impress avatars
but i guess maybe dress to impress can change the characters to r6 and like just normal classic clothing...

I just beat the boss a few minutes ago. Instead of getting 1x1x1x1's sword (the Demonshank), we have to pay 40k robux for it. Also, NO BADGE! Just some basic end screen and back to the game.

another thing that might have ruined the event is the toxic players, if you join the classic leaks game people that have joined in anywhere to 2018 to 2024 will get bullied well now, this is my experience I joined in 2020 but I got bullied and many other players did to for wearing there classic outfits, anyone can do this event and it doesn’t matter if ur a classic or og or not ur not special if ur an og ur just like every player
nobody knows, it could be for advertising because is an big event, i think is an open world event ( like 2013 egg hunt ) because of the leaked strings like, found checkpoint, TEH EPIC DUCK IS COMMING, it don't make sense you get checkpoint to various place of the lobby or some random stuff going on the lobby.

honestly i dont mind too much that theyre choosing newgen games, as ive seen gunfight arena leaks and its looking very good so far, its the fact that not only do the newgen games usually perform the absolute worst in terms of event objectives to the point where it makes you wonder if they just spun a giant wheel of games to choose either good games or complete slop, but that they havent picked a SINGLE game that is either based on the retro style or IS retro
in my opinion they should add stuff like combat initiation, make a cake, epic minigames, work at a pizza place and games of those sorts just to add a little more meaning to the events title
i also hope the event is gonna be atleast a LITTLE more unique from other dev hunts (mainly the hunt obviously) but until then, my hopes are up and i even have some prize predictions im hoping to come true 👀
man i hope they feature brickbattle style games like combat initation or brickbattler, they need some spotlight too right? if something fits this style of old roblox games from the late 2000s to the early 2018, they would definitely be more interesting considering how bad games were featured in the hunt but games like murder mystery is not, i hope MM2 also gets featured cuz it is kinda an old roblox game from the 2000-2018 era (i forgot). I would hope more exciting things are more to come from roblox and i am praying that this would go well and not just catch the “oh feature this and this then we rock with it” roblox style and put some effort into it like literally GETTING items from each game itself instead of having to collect these currencies because it is kinda grindy. And please roblox, take this into consideration and if roblox crashes because of this event, im gonna be happy for those that are really excited to run in this event because if they are hyped, we are on the right way now, but if it isn’t, lets just see and find out yk

The event hasn’t released yet. We can hope they learned from their mistakes.
Cant judge it till it’s out, some of these devs might have put great work into the event (excluding ttd) judging off the leaks roblox is actually gonna have you do stuff in the lobby.
The games choosen are probably gonna make their games look classic so they can fit the theme (ex: old R6, old textures, lower quality, etc.)
we already knew that but hey at least you will have an old map lol note for the players from 2006-2008: You will meet some kids who joined between 2023-2024 who will probabily enjoy the ''nostalgia'' and will ruin even that small nostalgia you may enjoy so.

i feel like alot of people dont release that old doesnt mean good, people blindly judge games becuase they dont look like the ones they played when they were kids
The good thing about old games in roblox is how you could just play them and have fun without too much grinding, you just went it, finished the game and then you moved to the next fun game. Nowadays it is many many many of hours of grind unless you want to spend so much money on overpriced gamepasses.
My main point here is the reason you made games back in the day is to make your own fun game, because there was no money involved into making it, so mostly the design was forgiving allowing people to just play the game to earn stuff. Now it is designed against the player, where it is not very fun and you have to spend money on gamepasses to progress faster…
To be fair this trend is not only in roblox but on other platforms aswell like on mobile.

Should feature Armored Patrol. Since the one made by Wingman8 is outdated, the one made by ArmoredPatrolHero is.. uh, i think we all should have acknowledged of what APH did by now, i think they should use the repost made by MUGEN, it's still mostly original the differences being a couple of new vehicles (that don't ruin the playstyle) and new graphics.
alot of people say that roblox ( a massive muti national company with thousands of employees who cant tell the diffrence between troll and normal suggestions) doesnt listen, but the roblox classic event prooves that they do. Alot of players wanted this event and they made it. it wont be perfect, but most people didnt even play back in roblox "classic". i think we should see the good in this event and also not judge it before the thing even comes out.

People judging the portals and trailer alone saying that the classic will be bad. People already making hate videos. People saying that roblox copied fortnite as if fortnite owned the idea(also even if roblox copied fortnite it would be even sense fortnite has already copied roblox)

Just giving a tad heads up there are still a few games which proven themselves in the hunt to be able to make good classic themed events ex tds and avatar creator
Zombie rush is in the event and it is an actual classic game so they will hopefully make a good event

honestly if its gonna be like the hunt that would be the worst. if i was the person in charge of this event, i would’ve chosen games that have been out for atleast 5 years (that still have a playbase even if small like survive and kill the killers in area 51) have like a story part where they go back to the past (like when the games were still in beta or when they were just released) and they have to try to get back to the present and face a bunch of obstacles with somewhere near the end the entire game breaking apart, im not someone to say anything about old roblox because i wasnt there back then but i think this would be atleast better then the hunt but classic idea😊
