I learned to shoot with a .22 cal Crossman from the 1960's. It was my Dad's and I still have it. Glad to see that I'm not the only one to love these guns.

I have been around this hobby for a long time getting my first Daisy lever action bb gun in 1966 at the age of 5. My first Crosman was a model 1400 for my 13th Birthday in 1974. Tom Gaylord is such a great guy and his knowledge of airguns speaks for itself. Loved this video and it was great hearing from TG.

Had one, had a Lotta fun with it! Daisy Red Ryder was my first gun. Got a Beeman pump up next. Marksman pellet pistol, several other Daisy's, I'm 71 now, just got a 25 cal guantlet and an Air Saber. Still having fun!

Someday soon you should make a video with Tom Gaylord dressed in a complete tux. He is, after all, The Godfather.

I remember those pellets in that black plastic with a red colored cover long ago, also with the old JSB & RWS pellets in Cebu City Philippines in one of the SportingGoods stores there in the 80s’ also with some local footpump airguns & imported Ivanex brands!

Tom is awesome! Very airgun educated. It'd be cool to meet him.

I never had one, but I remember seeing them in various "wish books" around Christmas.

I own the same gun. Now I know that it was made 3/78 also. Mine does not have the barrel sticker, but does look brand new. The seals are dry-rotted(I am waiting for the seals in the mail now) but it has the box and paperwork.

Collecting the older Crosman airguns is a lot of fun. I would say that many airgunners started by collecting the older co2 guns that Crosman made. Generally they are fairly easy to fix.

I've got almost the exact same gun. Mine is from December 1979. That's when I bought it. I fired a dozen pellets the day I got it and it's sat in the box with all the paperwork ever since. I've even got one brand new CO2 cartridge and several boxes of pellets from that time. My Peacemaker doesn't have, nor did it ever have any kind of decal on the barrel that I can remember. It is the only pellet gun I've ever owned and not being a fan of airguns, it's about as exciting to shoot as a water pistol. I do prefer some sort of recoil and certainly don't need the practice to hit what I'm aiming at having qualified with a 40 for 40 score during basic training many moons ago. The Crossman pellet gun is not a toy but I do believe it can be a good training aid for a young person learning about firearms and firearm safety.

I inherited a cross man cowboy pellet gun. It was in perfect condition. It's all Taken down in the original box. I think it's 1950 something. I'm sure it was taken down to replace the seals. Can you stear me in the right direction? Semper Fi Neal Apollo Beach Florida

Hi, I own two of these Crossman Peacemnker 44's. One is mint (box, manual etc. just like in your video) and another in very good condition. Question: On my mint one, when you pull the trigger, the hammer solidly and completely falls on the "firing pin" valve in one smooth stroke. The other when the hammer falls, its like a two stage process where the hammer falls about 95%, about 1/8" away from fully closed, clicks, then falls completely. Its a two click, not one click slam like on the mint one. For the life of me, cannot figure why its doing that. Any ideas? Thanks!

I recently bought this exact model in almost identical condition. I did a reseal job on it and it works great. Accurate, powerful, and fun. Only difference is that I didn't get the sticker on the barrel.

Collecting the vintage stuff is a lot of fun and the quality of some of these older Airguns is off the charts. Congratulations on your score.

I inherited a first year 1959 crossman single 6 revolver in the original box and manual. I know it's not worth a ton but my grandfather took it apart to replace the seals I guess. I would like to have the seals done. Do you know someone that could do that for me? Thanks, Neal Apollo Beach Florida.
