Makes me think of a old Sc/fi episode I once saw...don’t remember the series name but in it a neglected young boy takes up taxidermy and stuffs roadkill he finds along the road and they become his friend. Long story short...children in the neighborhood turn up missing and at the end it is discovered by the parents that the boy has been stuffing the kids and adding them along side his roadkill friends. Series ends with the grandmother (who taught him taxidermy) comes to look after him due his parents being accused of killing the kids (because the skinned bodies were found in the yard), she walks up to him and scolds him by saying, “How many times have I told you?” He replies, “I know...never anyone from the neighborhood...” then she says, “And?” He replies, “Always burn the bodies, never bury them...” 🤣
