The "glitch" at 35:45 is due to the onAppear cause you press the Change Name button before the 1 second delay of the fetchProfile
    Great video I love it

thank you for this great tutorial.
could you also make a video on firebase maybe? i’m struggling to implement instant UI feedback. i want my seperate tabs to all have access to the locally changed structs immediately without having to permanently refetch the db. so i need to update my local structure as well as make the API call to the db. this is really confusing me.
say i want to update a user profile. i want the changes to be recognized in every view, even if we don’t have internet yet to upload the changes to the database

From my understanding @ObservedObject is replacing Dependency Injection in SwiftUI and all that hassle? thanks

Correct. With EnvironmentObject everything is much simpler.

You’re obviously an expert who knows what you’re doing, but from my perspective as someone who wants to learn how to build apps but has zero programming knowledge, the problem with this tutorial and most every other tutorial out there is that you’re not showing any of these things within the context of building a REAL app. You’re just creating a meaningless UI with no point to illustrate these functions. But I need CONTEXT. Context in the form of building an app that actually does something. Instead of learning stand-alone concepts from the bottom up, I (and I’m sure a great many other people) would find a top-down, macro to micro approach much more helpful. Meaning, starting with a finished app and “popping the hood” to breakdown the inner workings and explain how everything works and relates to everything else. Much like learning about the mechanics of a car. Pointing out a certain feature or function and saying “that was achieved by doing _______”. Why don’t any coding experts out there teach this way? I apologize if sound harsh and don’t mean to be rude, it’s just very frustrating for me.

I completely understand. I need to create videos like these because this is what the TH-cam algorithm likes. But I can also help you, what you're looking for is a mentoring session: rebeloper.com/mentoring
