Hi JC, salamat para sa mga videos mo! Marami na akong nakalimutan kasi nag-immigrate yung pamilya ko when I was younger. Unti-unti kong naaalala kung paano mag-tagalog. Maraming salamat.

Yes, this lesson you really touched a point of ours, That's what our difficulty really are in learning tagalog. i was glad that you noticed it. it is the same thing, as a chinese, we thought chinese very easy, but no foreigner thought so. Thus, we are blind when we are teaching them chinese. If you can teach it in chinese, i believe that i can master this language much more faster. Thank you very much JC. Great!

Question: what's the difference between napaka- and sobrang? e.g. 3:59 "Napakarumi ng tuwalya" vs "sobrang madumi ang tuwalya"?

    • @SpeakTagalogWithJC
      @SpeakTagalogWithJC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Paul! They have the same meaning. You can use either one :) you can also say, “Sobrang dumi ng tuwalya”

I love how the focus of the sentence changes when we're being specific about the adjective (i.e adding adverbs)
    "Mabuting tao si David"
    David is a good person.
    "Napakabuting tao ni David"
David is a very good person.
Lit. The very good person that is David.
Not to be confused with this one:
    "Napakabuting tao na si David"
It sounds unnatural. We tend to use this sentence structure with an object marker "ni" and the word "na" is often used as an enclitic particle which means now/already.
    "Napakabuting tao na ni David"
David is now a very good person.
If we want to use the first sentence, we can simply add the subject marker "ang":
"Ang napakabuting tao na si David"
    Other examples:
"Ang napakasipag kong anak na si Paulo."
My very hardworking son that is Paulo.
    Other variations of the sentence:
Napakasipag ng anak kong si Paulo.
Si Paulo ang napakasipag kong anak.
Ang anak kong si Paulo ay napakasipag.
Si Paulo ang anak kong napakasipag.
It's hard to explain each, but I hope you get their respective rules. Anyway, they all mean the same thing. Choose the one you're most comfortable of.

You love how it changes! I'm like BAKIT!? So confusing... anyhow, seems learning this language is gunna be a long road. Sounds like you got it sorted though. Gives me hope!

@@krystlehall5125 Language quirks are fascinating. Tagalog is confusing sometimes and there are rules that don't make sense. I'm not a native speaker myself so it's all based on my observations. Even if I was one, I wouldn't notice these rules either; the subconscious does all the work. It takes guts to learn a completely different language, and you're doing amazing! I'm rooting for you

Question ❓. When using Napaka. Do you always use.
    Non-- subject pro-nouns?

    • @Determination709
      @Determination709 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

When using adjectives without napaka, we use subject pronouns. With napaka, you use non-subject pronouns. Thats how the rules go.

does "ang" have three used markers such as
    1. "abc" as the topic marker.
    Ang bait ng tatay ko.
    2. "abc" as the subject marker.
    Mabait ang tatay ko.
    3. "abc" as article.
    Ang mabait na tatay ko.

  • @James-hs3tu

Hmm so when you use " Napaka ". You always use the Non Sub. Markers
