I bought a table press and box of snaps to make diapers for my grandson . The first snap I pressed broke the bottom pate. Was never able to use it. Every time I tried it would leave a hole in the snap where the press left it in the bottom. In all the video I’ve seen everyone presses hard. I guess I pressed to hard. Wish the bottom would have been metal not plastic.

Is the die used for metal snaps the same for plastic snaps? What about plastic open ring snaps--is there a special tool just for those?
