I believe this one has a motor-generator configuration (AC-DC) since it has smooth acceleration and deceleration. DC motors were used for this type of fast operation. It would be so cool to see its machinery in motion.

Funny thing is I filmed a freight elevator in Detroit and I believe it had 1 more floor than this elevator. Yet it was locked off of course lol.

Around 350 to 400 FPM.
motor tag supposeldy says 800 FPM but i am not sure if it is that fast.
@@DieselDucy 800 fpm would've been much faster than that. Simmons tower mid rise elevators goes 750 fpm. You can see the small gap from the doors to tell that.

@@DieselDucy There is a normal amount of induction hum 60 Hz from a power transformer depending on the size and power load etc. However, one of those transformer does sound like it's starting to go.
