In my opinion, the standard regeneration is perfect in the city and the low regeneration is nice for the highway. Looking forward to see an advanced Automatic mode.
Quick question while I'm watching. Should the brake pedal also use regenerative braking when you tap on it like the prius? I'd think they are at least as advance as toyota and probably a lot more advanced. Maybe you'll mention it later in the video
From what I can tell, they do a blend of braking and regen when I step on the pedal and look at the bar. If I mash on the brake, it does full regen first before applying friction brakes
Having this option is a lifesaver I can’t count the amount of times my foot slipped off the pedal due to numbness and the car slammed to a stop

An auto mode would be a nice add on
The only benefit that i think that will work is when you have passengers and dont like the feeling of the hard regenerative breaking.
True, I think drivers generally love regen braking after a few days of getting adjusted
I think this was added because regen us dangerous when driving on snow and ice. On regen the card will start sliding.
I think so too
The regen low setting is ideal for snow and ice, great to handle slipping.
Is this feature available in the U.S?
Seems like Tesla haven’t released it wide yet, only in China for some reason
Maybe done to make it so people on fsd beta can have access to new updates still
thats a very interesting take, you might be right
@@heyJohnEe Yes, I believe there are 2 tracks. FSD was moved to single stack.
Can anybody explain why the last software was 2023.12.x BUT the most latest update is 2023.6.xxx.x, seems like we went backwards hmm 🤔

Good video once again! Cant wait to get my hands on the model y rwd with all the incentives !
Thanks! Yes it’s going to be a sweet car and the first coming directly from China so it’ll be special
it obviously for ice and snow locations so people aren't fishtailing all over the place
Probably. But they shouldn’t have removed it in the first place if this was the purpose of it
Seems like this feature are not available in Canada?
Is it now
@@heyJohnEe I checked this with sale adviser today, she said the regenerative option is still not available in 🇨🇦 , so sad
Can you explain what regen option you’re referring to exactly? Maybe I could be mistaken for something else
@@heyJohnEe the regenerative braking
Like brake blending? Using brakes and regen together? Or are you referring to setting the regen limit from low to high
