Although "Solina", as all POLSTEAM ships, is Polish owned and Polish crewed she is registered at Nassau in the Bahamas and would fly that flag. I think it's a matter for some regret that many salties use flags of convenience. I don't think any POLSTEAM ships are now registered in Poland although they once used to be.
Yea I saw this ship 4/17/14 6:30 a.m. thursday. It came under the hoan bridge in milwaukee and the telecommunication tower got ripped off as it passed under the bridge. The bridge is under construction for the next three years and scaffolding is suspended underneath for the workers access. It hangs down at least 10 to 20 feet. So as the ship passed underneaththe tower failed to clear the scaffolding. and the ship was higher in the water as a result of no load in its hull. Was quite a sight to see as it snapped off and fleww off.

No, i te nazwy... wolność uderzyła szczeciniakom do głów i od razu zniszczono schemat nazewniczy PŻM! 30.000-tonowym masowcom nie wypada nadawać nazw miast(eczek)! To patroni dla drobnicowców! Żeńskie imiona - to nazwy dla promów pasażerskich, a jeziora i rzeki - dla statków rybackich.
@@alaricdogface Właśnie o tym wspominam. Schematu nie ma, a powinien być. Nadanie imienia poleglego Prezydenta RP zwykłemu zbiornikowcowi jest w każdym razie sporym faux pas (fo-pa), bo takie imię to imię dla jednostki wojennej i to nie pierwszej z brzegu.
@@alaricdogface Rzecz w tym, że niektóre ludziki na stanowiskach u armatorów to szczury lądowe, które do pewnych morskich kwestii nie dorastają i nie mają o nich pojęcia. Chodzi wszak o nazwy, a więc rzeczy, ktore widać!!
