Im sure we can find the reason why it feels delayed, so please describe the delay in more detail. (Are your mouse movements delayed on the screen for example, or are you warping/skipping/teleporting in the game).
The business is as follows, in the start menu you said to see if you installed the keyboard, mouse and the Xbox logo, it is (the Xbox logo, the Xim Apex logo and the Mouse logo), I saw in your videos about Hip (mine was down I put 40), but that is not equal to your Ads under Hip, although the game has both, the text does not work and the Headset.
On the pc when you put the keyboard it does not appear the logo?
In Hip will I have to adapt because the Ads did not stay below?
And when I have all the settings I can not go back to the home screen

Hey, the DPI depend on your mousepad. In general more is better and results in more precise mouse movements, however not all mousepads perform well with very high DPI values. If its a cloth pad then try a very high value and check for potential pixel skipping or stutter.

Yes in that case go 500hz on both the mouse and the xim, you should then experience much smoother mouse movements.

Hey, since RB6 doesnt have any aim assist you can use any value between 3000 DPI and max DPI! :)

Yes a lower polling rate usually gives more aim assist. The Xbox One controller is better for PC because it has a higher stick resolution and therefore allows the XIM to provide better mouse movements (you have to use the Xbox config profiles then).

yes this can be (one of) the reasons, always have your xim at the same polling rate as your mouse or else you can get mouse stutter. so if you would like to have more aim assist then also set your mouse to 125hz :).
another source for stutter can be your dpi, if you play on a clothpad then dont use more than 3000-4000 dpi or else you will get stutter. see this video why:

Can I just use my Xbox controller for the left stick movement, basically hold it in one hand, and use the mouse for aiming? Instead of buying a separate analog stick device
Yes you can do that, instead you can also use the sony navigation controller with the xim which might be a bit mroe comfortable.

It's just much easier for me using one thumb for all movement than it is using 3 fingers on a keyboard plus made it a Seamless transition from being a console gamer to using a mouse. The XiM manager says that my mouse polling rate must be the same (OR GREATER) but you said if my mouse polling rate is greater than the XiM then it will cause problems?
Your mouse polling rate must be higher or equal to your xim polling rate. The highest polling rate is 1000hz. If you run a lower polling rate on the mouse than on the xim then this will cause noticeable mouse stutter on slower mouse movements. You are fine to use a higher polling rate on the mouse than on the xim though (for example 1000hz mouse and 500hz xim).
Im only getting like 60Hz on the Zowie test with G502 lol Whut do??
Try the mouserate.exe and check if your mouse is maybe set to 125hz. Also move your mouse in fast circles similar to how its shown in the video.

i would recommend you to test how well your mouse is sending the 1000hz, and then either go for 1000/1000 on the xim and mouse or 500/500 :)
if you like more aim assist then run 250/250 or maybe even 125/125.

Hey, the xim4 runs on a locked 125hz polling rate and you cannot change that. Only with the xim apex you can change the polling rate.
I got a razor deathadder chroma 3.8k dpi what is suggested hz
Its different for each mouse, one chroma can be fine on 1000hz while another one runs better on 500hz. Do one of the three tests shown in this video to find out which one works best for your mouse :).
I tested my Razer DeathAdder and it consistently runs 940 to 1000
In that case id try 500hz since its probably much more consistent and will therefore give the better mouse movements.
Is it reduce the aim assist if I use 500hz for mouse and 250 for xim? And which values better for them to increase aim assist? I am using logitech g pro wireless.
Hey, a lower polling rate will increase the aim assist, and a higher one will reduce it (for the XIM polling rate).

i have a big problem ...: my mouse has 8000hz ... i used the tool and no matter what i set ... 8k Hz or 125 Hz the average is between 100 and 200

aim acceleration in your mouse driver? yes definitely turn that off.

Depending on what mouse you have there can be an option to turn it off in the pc mouse driver for that mouse. If you dont have that option then mouse acceleration is probably off by default.

Hey, you only have to make sure that your mouse runs on the same or a higher polling rate profile. So if your xim runs 125hz and your mouse 1000hz then that is fine. In general higher polling rates give more response mouse movements so definitely try a higher polling rate for your xim too. either 500hz or 1000hz, try the 3 tests to see which of the two polling works best for your mouse. every gpro is different.

Your polling rate has no influence on this tutorial, so you can do it with 125hz too to get your best sensitivity.

Im extremely triggered and disappointed because my Razer DeathadderV2 can’t run constant 1000Hz there is sadly no way to know (in my knowledge) if a mouse runs constant 1000Hz
Hey, most of the modern mice work well on 1000hz, as long as you buy mice of known brands.

@@cal5964 Yes in my "Best Polling Rate For XIM" video from a few years ago i showed 3 methods that allow you to check how well your mouse runs on 1000hz or any other polling rate. The video is still perfectly up to date despite its age! :)
im using zowie za 12 mice but i don't know which polling rate is better!1000hz feel like its acceleration!
the only way to tell how well your mouse runs on a certain polling rate is to do the tests, the polling rate itself shouldnt add acceleration, it might just feel more snappy and direct to you.

Every mouse has a different polling rate that works the best, but this tutorial works for every mouse. The best polling rate for the logitech g502 is 500hz. This polling rate works best with every g502. If you want to use 500hz then also set your xim to 500hz.

Since this is a tutorial I’d like to say to any xim noobs go onto computer and turn off EPP (Enhance Pointer Precision) most likely after you do that your aim will be very precise (EPP is acceleration and you don’t want that!!!)
PS. Do not do registry fixes they change how mouses feel on the xim ( from my experience only use it if you are going to mainly play PC )

I got my Logitech G900 and 1000hz. Tried both settings and 1000 feels much better with 12000dpi. Feels like i can track every single pixel on the screen. When i run with lower settings its like i play some arcade mode. Doesnt feel right.

I watched this video again because I just saw an example of somebody using a XIM Response Rate = 125 Hz (theoretically to match the console) and mouse polling rate = 500 Hz. Synchronization is OFF. What do you think? Advantages? Bad side effects? I think you would recommend raising the Response Rate to 500 Hz (to minimize lag). FYI, the video is "Best Modern Warfare Xim Apex Settings ( OP Aim Assist ) 2019" by ApexVII.
Hey, with these settings you basically turn your XIM Apex into a XIM4. I assume the person who created these settings prefers his/her old XIM4 mouse feeling. In general theres nothing wrong with those settings but in my oppinion you then play with a lot of unused xim potential. One of the main XIM Apex advantages is the higher polling rate and its also one of the most noticeable differences in the game.

My xim works fine, but when I ADS, and move up or down, my xim blinks red and has a spaz attack.
It works fine when I ADS and go left to right.

Hey, the reason should be a combination of two things:
1) your mouse runs on a much lower polling rate than your xim. If you changed your mouse polling rate also to 1000hz but the xim still gives you this message then the mouse doesnt have any onboard memory. This is required so your mouse adjustments carry over to the xim.
2) the second reason most likely lies in your mouse itself. Some mice perform very poor when they are not connected to a pc that runs the mouse driver in the background.
So overall i would recommend you to either increase your mouse polling rate (alternatively reduce the xim to 125hz) or even better, try a different mouse (from a known brand if possible).
@@XIMCentral i fixed it....after much frustration, I pressed on random things. Apparently both my hip and ADS use the HIP translator...
@@chaoticneutral7528 Outch, thats hard to spot but good find. If you play CoD then this can further screw up your aim as theres a transition time between HIP and ADS.

Also wonder XIMgameplay: I play BF1 (will play BF5 when it is released) and Destiny 2. Will i notice a big difference from upgrading to Apex from Xim4?
If you have a plastic pad then yes you can go 16000 dpi, if you have a cloth pad then dont (see the video best dpi tutorial on this channel).
As for the polling rate question, every mouse is different so you will have to try those 3 tests as shown in this video. Some rival 500 will run perfectly fine on 1000hz while others wont.
Xim apex gives much more customization knobs so you can achieve a more responsive and fluid mouse experience, the difference is quite noticeable but its not like it renders your xim4 useless. Also xim4 will continue to receive game updates, so it wont be dropped anytime soon. In the xim forums you can find a comparison list between the two.
I tried changing my polling rate to 500Hz on my R.A.T. 7, I get a consistent 1000Hz sometimes, other times i check it doesnt, i cant find a program that can lower it, i tried that SweetLow program but it broke my usb ports, i have Windows 10 version 1709 so i should be fine.
Any other ways to lower Polling rate to 500Hz, or can i just change my in APP polling rate to 500Hz?

there are not many mice that can run 1000hz steady (lottery), Xim Apex biggest sale point was the improved 1000hz polling rate which 90% of the users dont have..
500hz feels basically identical to 1000hz, so just go with 500hz then if your mouse struggles sending a constant 1000hz.
Also with my statement i refer to all kinds of mice, which includes desktop and cheap mice too. Some of those can run on 125hz max.

Yes thats perfectly fine. All that matters is that the mouse doesnt run on a lower polling rate than the XIM.
Hey, I was wondering is higher dpi better¿ I’m running 25600 dpi with 500hz on both xim n mouse. Should I lower it¿ I did the rate test in its hard to stay constant 500hz or 1000hz because the mouse moves really fast. But I don’t want slow sensitivity. I’m playing ow2 on ps4 with gpro wireless btw. Thanks !
For XIM Apex 3000-4000 DPI is ideal. It also gives more AA compared to the value you use.
What do you prefer for Console Keypad or Keyboard with the XIM Apex?
For people with a controller background a keypad is the better way to go, if you come from a PC id go with a keyboard. Both have their advantages and disadvantages but overall it all comes down to what you are used to and what feels comfortable for you.
I’ve been using 12k dpi and a 1000hz polling rate on Overwatch. I see that a lot of people dislike these settings, but for me they feel the best. I’ve climbed all the way to 4380 sr which is rank 40 right now. I’m sort of torn now, should I change to settings that are supposed to work the best or stick with the settings that I’m doing well with?
the thing is that the objectively better settings might give you worse results because your brain and muscle memory adapted to the potentially worse settings, you might need a few days to a week to get fully accustomed to other settings.
what id recommend you to do is to at least try different settings for 1-2 games to see how much you like them or not. this will not screw up your muscle memory, and chances are that you like the new settings so much that you dont want to use anything else anymore.

yes and no. xim apex itself doesnt allow macros, but you can still use them in the following ways:
- mice and keyboards that have onboard memory and macro support
- xim link software, run macros through your pc into your xim apex
- macro and script adaters like the titan two that you connect to your xim apex
XIMGameplay There's only 3 ports to the Apex that I need for MnK & my controller so how would my cronusmax/titan work?
you connect the titan to one of the usb hub ports and then connect your other gear to the cronus, eg mouse or keyboard (or both)
XIMGameplay To bad my cronus broke after only a couple months of owning it. it is legit made out of the weakest/cheapest material possible. software is great but the USB stick is so flimsy and breakable. I'll definetly try the titan 2 this time around. thank you for your time sir have a good day

I got a question every time i use the razer mamba and start using it the xim flashes red what does that mean
Red flashes indicate you that you move your mouse faster than you can turn in the game, you could basically more the mouse slower and still turn with the same speed ingame. you can deactivate this in the xim manager if you dont like it.
XIMGameplay is this just a notification or is this an indicator that we should do something about it. Like change a setting to match what it should be? I mean wouldn't the mouse always move faster than what is in game. ?
In general its just a notification and you might as well ignore it. If you like your sensitivity the way it is then turn off the red flashing. The main purpose of the notification is to let users know they have hit the maximum turnspeed of the game, so they dont wonder why the game doesnt turn any quicker despite moving the mouse faster.
Okay, so all that I said about Fortnite feeling better on 12k 1000/1000 I was wrong.
I recently had my brother bring his Xbox One X over to me just for fun, and I literally could not play fortnite on it with my original settings.
The One X actually felt like my aim was TOO fast and 0 aim assist feeling. Kinda crazy to think that the system made so much of a difference
But yea the Xbox one X actually felt better when I went down to 500/500 with 3.8k DPI. default sync.
Like I had to change everything in order to even get comfortable with my settings.

I have a g502 when i set the rate to 1000hz the xim manager then show me a red warning with the text "MOUSE USB REPORT RATE IS LOWER THAN XIM APEX MGR"
But when i switch it back to 500hz it shows no issue
Hey, thats because your mouse seems to run on 500hz and when you play with 1000hz on the xim then your mouse polls at a lower rate than the xim which usually causes mouse stutter on slower mouse movements. Either increase your mouse polling rate or lower the xim polling rate.
Hey I got the Corsair RGB Pro and I’m running 10k dpi on rainbow 6. My mouse has a max of 8k hertz should I use the max? Or keep it at 1k hertz. Also I have my XIM polling rate set at 1k and meanwhile using 1k hertz until u respond. But for some reason I’m getting the a red hazard on the app telling me my USB report rate is less than XIM Apex’s response rate. Seems odd to me
Hey, no console supports more than 1000hz so using more will not result in any advantages. If your XIM shows you that message then this means your mouse is running on a lower polling rate than the XIM is. This can happen if your mouse has no onboard memory, or the polling rate changes have not been saved onto the mouse memory. Without that your changes will not carry over to the XIM and will only be present while the mouse is connected to the PC running the mouse driver with the respective settings.

What mice typically have the highest/ most constant polling rates? How does the g502 fair? Do this different 502versions have different results?
Hey, based on customer feedback each mouse is different. So buying a g502 wont ensure it performs solid on 1000hz. Though the latest trend towards newly released gaming mice is that there hasnt been a single user yet to report such a mouse to not work well on 1000hz. The only exception are modern wireless mice, none of those perform good on 1000hz when using them wireless. So as long as you get a mouse released in 2021 or newer and it uses a wire then it should perform well on 1000hz.

Hey, did you save your changes onto the mouse memory? Maybe look up your mouse model to find out if it has problems on 1000hz.

Hey, you can keep the mouse on 1000hz. As long as the mouse polls on the same rate as the XIM, or a higher one you are fine.

Via your mouse driver or buttons on the mouse itself. Its different from mouse to mouse, its best to check your mouse manual on how to do it or google your mouse model.
If you have stutters doesn't the smooth option help with the jitter? Currently running 1000hz on mouse and 500hz on xim some corrections with smoothing helps with jitter
Yes it does, but smoothing should be "the last resort" you go for when solving stutter :). There are less influential options you can try to remove stutter.

Hey, yes you are correct theres absolutly no problem in polling your mouse faster than the XIM itself. You could even run a mouse in 1000hz mode and the XIM in 125hz. Your XIM would then accumulate 8 1000hz inputs and combine them to one 125hz input.

I don’t know anything about ballistic curves, but maybe one could go higher sensitivity with a curve created to counter the jitters?
if you have jitter then that is most likely due to having sync off, too high dpi or too high of a polling rate. yes a curve can help here but its better to remove the jitter with the other ways (or use smoothing)
it shows my mouse at 1000 hz going anywhere from 400 to 1400 , there must be something wrong I have a logitech prodigy mouse, it doesn't get much better the lower i go. Theres no way it can be that bad can it?
which test specifically?it sounds like your PC was under big load, close down every programm and make sure your CPU is not doing any intensive work.

Hey, your mouse polling rate should be the same or higher, so since you have a xim4 that runs 125hz your mouse will most likely run on a higher profile by default, so no additional changes are required :).

Will using high Poll rates ruin the console. Due to the fact they are made for 120hz poll rate?
Modern consoles support all kinds of polling rates, the one they run on by default is 250hz. You will not damage your console by asking it to run on a higher refresh rate.

Hey, this video doesnt work with the XIM4 because the XIM4 is locked at 125hz. So i recommend you to use a mouse polling of either 125hz, 250hz or 500hz for best results.
I'm getting a low peak rate in direct input rate but I'm getting inconsistent results in mouserate,my polling rate was set to 500hz and 250hz. For both, my peak rate was good in direct input rate but my average rate in (mouserate) was inconsistent for both the polling rates,it was fluctuating around 1-3hz for both the polling rates (500hz and 250hz) but when i checked all the polling rates signals (250hz and 500hz) in mouserate (on the top right corner) there were 100hz fluctuations sometimes

That is indeed very odd! As another check set your XIM sync to off and 1000hz (mouse also at 1000hz) and move the mouse at the slowest possible speed over the mousepad. Check the ingame crosshair if it makes any jumpy movements or if its consistent. If its consistent then you are fine running 1000hz. This test works with other polling rates too.

Can I use 1000hz on the xim apex on xbox? I specifically use xim for console controller crossover and I currently have it set to 500hz I know my dualshock 4 is capable of 1000hz but can the xim and more importantly can the xbox one x handle it? Thanks for the info love your guides!
Yes both can be forced into 1000hz, this is no problem at all :).

@@kaonashispirit397 Hey, you can usually use any length for as long as the total length from the console to your actual device doesnt exceed around 15-16 feet. At that point you usually experience signal problems if the cable isnt very high quality.

Hey, the XIM4 will always run on a locked 125hz polling rate, you cannot change the value.

@@itshighnoon9004 You can also use a value above that but it effectively doesnt make any difference. So if you use the mouse also on other devices keep it at 1000hz, if you dont then you might as well set it to 125hz.

to find out the best polling rate for your g502 you have to do the tests shown in the video, every mouse is different. my g502 has problems sending a constant 1000hz, maybe your g502 can.

I have a question. I am using a Razor chroma naga mouse. I tried the three testing software programs you listed and set my mouse to it's available options, 125,500,1000 hrz. My results are steady between 300 and 400 when set at 1000 or 500.
When I set it at 125 hrz, it is right on point. I notice all this changes depending on my DPI setting. You recommend staying with 500 hrz but I can't seem to be consistent reaching that.
What should I do? What DPI do I use for the test and is there another setting for my mouse that will make this testing more accurate?

Hey, do you move the mouse in the same way as shown in this video? Rapid circle movements? If so then yeah you might want to use 125hz or 250hz instead since that seems to be your most consistent polling rate. However check first via the synapse driver if there arent some additional options, if its a wireless mouse there might be a fast polling rate mode like with logitech wireless mice.

Its sufficient to set your XIM to 500hz but you can set both to that polling rate as well.

Only if you use sync off, then the sensitivity would be twice as fast.

What would happen if you set your mouse to 1000 hz but set your Xim Apex to 500hz?
i convered that somewhere 12:00 onwards, the short version is basically that if your 1000hz on the mouse is not constant you will suffer from the same mouse stutter that you would have if you run the xim on 1000hz too due to the sync between the mouse, the xim and the console. so always run the same polling for both devices

@@dazu681 Make very very slow mouse movements and check if the movement is picked up by the game. Another indication is stutter, is it a smooth movement ingame or does it jump around? Thats how you can also test which polling rate works best.

That depends on your mouse, your mouse manual should have the required instructions. Alternatively google your mouse model, there is not a method that works for all mice since companies often go for different approaches (via PC, via mouse buttons, ...).

jede maus ist anders, von daher solltest du deine maus am besten selber auf die beste polling rate testen. 500hz gehen in der regel immer mit logitech mäusen. ein dpi wert von 3000-4000 ist in der regel optimal. meine maus läuft auf 3200 dpi.

Hey, make check if you saved your changes onto the mouse memory. Also update your Matrix firmware, there was a bug that caused this. Install the new beta one.

If the total electricity consumption of your setup exceeds the limitation of the console USB port your XIM will shut one of the devices down to prevent damage (or will completely shut down). Either add more electricity via an external power supply, or reduce the load by for example turning off backlight LEDs.

I just did the upgrade and it's a big YES..XIM 4 is nice Apex is even better. I have a total of 4 XIMs I've been playing with it for 10 plus years the different models of the XIM ..Apex destroys them all. Plus its the cheapest of all the XIMs sold to date. Go figure..

its best to start with the DPI first, and then go for the Polling Rate :)
both do affect how well your mouse movements are, but they dont have an influence on each other. so theoretically you could also start with the polling rate, however adjusting your DPI is usually faster and doesnt require any additional test softwares as shown in this video.
for me 12k dpi 1000hz works the best. Maybe I just got used to my settings and everytime I change them I feel uncomfortable.

So I turned my g502 polling to 500 and apex to 500. 4000dpi
Playing around with synchronize I set it to common because fortnite runs on 60fps
Now using 15 hip and 12ads

the difference between common and default is basically its aim assist behaviour, common gives more while default gives less. its a personal preference thing and there isnt a better or worse setting, try both and stick with the one you like more :).
XIMGameplay what smoothing do you recommend?
i would only use smoothing if you have mouse stutter, and then id go with a value of 3-7. if you have mouse stutter though id first reduce the dpi to 3000-4000 and lower the polling rate to see if that solves the stutter.

i use 3200 dpi 500hz and sync common with a HIP 4,00 and ADS 3,30 sensitivity, no other advanced settings in the xim config. controller layout is builder pro, let me know if you also want the button bindings.

It could be that the BO4 ST might need an update or something went wrong with your XIM. An engineer will then guide you through the necessary steps to solve this.
