I was at the June 21-22 games (52:20) when I was 14. We won the 21st I believe 2-1, Juan Pierre lined to Abreu in center with RISP in the 9th to end it. On the 22nd, Chase came off the bench in a blowout, Marlins were up like 10-0. Chase went 3-3 with a homer, double and single in the 9th. Burrell also hit an oppo home run off the bench. My dad bought me a few beers and I was trashed. 100*. Lol. But from there on out, Utley became my favorite player. It’s a shame that MLB doesn’t offer an archive package so fans can watch games from those early CBP years. Those were the best years of my life growing up.

Tigers fan. I remember how hard that hit me when we knocked out the Yankees in 06. And then the Corey Lidle crash happened a couple days after.. 10 year old me thought, if we had lost. He’d probably still be alive :( life sucks like that sometimes…

My first impression of the new stadium, even before seeing it = "Anything is an upgrade from the Vet"

I've been trying to find footage of Jim Crowell all day, and I just figured out that he's the pitcher at 31:17. This might be the only footage of him recording an out on TH-cam - but I did come across another video of him allowing a home run.
