People have a go when things have already gone to crap, but never to identify the starting gun.
I've seen it with people focus hating The Rise of Skywalker, when The Last Jedi is just as bad for starting the clownfest
The hole in the ozone layer we had in the past. People finally started doing something about it, but not before.
    And here in Shadowlands.
People just focus on the _peak_ of when things were undeniable at their worst, but never try to understand why it came to be that way to prevent it from happening ever again in the first place.

True. Similarly, everyone recognizes seasons 7 & 8 of Game of Thrones were terrible but don't usually acknowledge that 5 & 6 were already running the show off the rails.

@@Zukalu Yes, they're called Red Flags.
People have a hard time understanding what a Red Flag is supposed to be handled. When people point them out? They're not saying things have gone bad (or completely off the deep end) _yet._ It _may_ still be possible to course correct if done in time.
And usually I point out the red flags as they appear, but people try to downplay them (or even silence you) until it finally becomes a problem you can't ignore.
It's like that pig scene in the Simpsons
"It's just a little airborne, it's still good, it's still good!"
      "... it's gone"
      "I know..."
