Flores is getting this young defense in shape. Even though we're 0-3 I think he will get this defense dialed in before the end. Such a breath of fresh air after last year. Glad to have him here.
Hicks and Suh on one yr contracts would solidify the interior d line and bring leadership. Those two additions would bring back the purple people eaters of old. SKOL Nation forever 🎉

@isaiah5752 yes addison is a star but guess what if they vikings passed on him then the vikings would be in the jalen reagor joke themselves. Blackmon has looked good at times but he's giving up huge plays as well. Do you know kwesi 1st draft class all except 3 have a total of 0% snaps on the field? Those players were drafted to replace the aging players they let go this offeason. And don't get me started on the vikings moving from 14 pick to 32 to take cine over Hamilton and they moved all the way down my just swaping 2nd round picks. That's awful and pathetic. Then he also trades with the packers to let then get thier wr and then grade with the lions and let them get thier wr as well. Tell me you talk to big for someone that doesn't pay attention without telling me 😂.

It's not the coaching, it's the personnel. The defense is seriously talent deficient. Outside of maybe Hunter, who's approaching 30, there's not a single impact player on the defensive side of the ball. Kwesi blowing the drafts, especially in 2022, has seriously hindered the defense. It's inexcusable on his part that Cine, Booth, and Asamoah can't even get on the field. That's some absolutely abysmal drafting.
Flores is blitzing so much because he has to over compensate due to the defensive unit being so seriously flawed. He's trying to manufacture pressure up front because the back end can't cover. And he has to blitz several because the DL can't generate pressure on their own. It's a mess.
I was thinking the same thing. "He's a good player" is probably a lot better to say than "we have shitty players" lol

I think Herbert got the ball out so quick not allowing us to get to him. I think he was able to bc the corners were off 10 yards. If your gonna blitz get the corners up so he can’t get rid of it right away
They're playing off because they know they'll get torched deep. You could say the safeties can also help, but Flores has them blitzing a lot because the front 4-5 can't generate enough pressure on their own.

If the solution was that simple, everyone would do it. The defensive game plan was fine. Only giving up 28 points to that offense isn't terrible, also they got a lucky 7 off Evans's tip ball. There is so little talent on defense that just minimizing big plays and making the other team work for it is enough. The offense needs to not cough the ball up, choke in the red zone, and reject the win Staley was so gracious to offer.

Because Za'Darius didn't want to play on the final year of his contract, which was around $4.5 mil. He's making around $12 mil now with the Browns. I like Za'Darius, but after he injured his knee he was completely invisible the last couple months of the season. He just wasn't the same player. I watched him a lot and it got to the point where he could only run forward and he was completely unable to turn on his knee. I guess Kwesi traded 1 injured player for a different one in Davenport. I wasn't crazy about Kwesi signing Davenport. He's hurt a lot and I think he's highly overrated.

run game killed them in week 2, passing game killed them in week 3.. need to find a balance and make adjustments..

Brian Flores is a phenomenal defensive talent! I don’t care what anyone of y’all gotta say. I’ll pound the table in defense of this man. He’s doing the best he can with this sh@“ty personnel he inherited from Spielman. They D line is too small! He can’t make them bigger or stronger!. This is more on Kwesi than Flores. Also, Davenport somehow seems to not want to play!? Flores is making the most of a small personal with essentially Hunter being the only threat the opposing O line sweats over.
Dead on, not to mention with all the turnovers we've had the defense has held up pretty well. We never got blown out with 9 turnovers in 3 games

Kurt will show you the scheme they used to beat your blitz - if you blitz this week we will lose, everyone now knows how to beat your scheme - I get your problem - if you don't blitz we will never pressure the quarterback - you scheme tries to compensate for not having interior rushers....You get paid a lot to figure this out - I get nothing. Let's go Brian, you are the next man up!!

We gotta guy (Marcus Davenport) who has barely played and we were counting on him for that other pass rush. Patrick Jones and whoever they’re putting there are not making the most of their opportunities. Bottom line we don’t have the talent upfront and B. Flores is doing the best he can with the shitty hand he was dealt. 13 million dollars you basically flushed down the toilet for this guy. DRAFT well Kwesi! 24’ lineman and more lineman on both sides of the ball and 25’? Rinse and Repeat! That’s all gentlemen.
It’s all going to come down to drafting good players. Look at Detroit, they’ve hit on some picks lately and the results show. Fans were happy to move on from a lot of vet players but they were pro-bowlers and this is what a young defense with not much talent looks like.

The coaches can ONLY coach the players that are dealt to them! Bad drafts kill a team down the road & Vikings are in regress mode & can’t replace guys cause they don’t have talent!!!

The NFL is full of great players, it's your job to stop them! Stop the excuses! Man on man doesn't work, you do not have that kind of talent, the Vikings gave it away before you got there. Maybe zone defense and some hustle and motivation. This allowing the other team to score right after our offense does every single game is not working, because that's not defense, that's not even a speed bump.
