i have one. the heating element cover wasn't sitting like that. mine sits flat. I agree the door should open it more. The light cover wasn't that hard to clean I just spray dawn dish soap (the powerful stuff) and let it sit then wipe. I also put water in the drip tray to help to keep the food moist. just put some water in it. i agree with you on the probe cover.
Be careful of what you say about water, remember you have an exhaust system to clear smoke that can't have water in it. So don't void your warranty. Thanks for the feedback!!!
Thanks for the review and the earlier videos. I'm gonna ask that you do make some ribs in the Arden because I'd like your opinion. Maybe slice a rack in two so it'll fit, cook it unwrapped with your preferred rub, and let us know how it turns out vs. your outside cooking routine.
I take it you know this by now. Since you gave an opinion on this a month ago, but I saw the Arden video on TH-cam. They were describing how they were making it I clicked the link. They provide and it went straight to the GE Profile indoor smoker. Seeing that I google and asked it GE bought the rights to this and it confirm. GE bought it from them know it sold only by GE under the Profile brand
Thanks for the review. I am confused on what your final thoughts are on this unit. Maybe it's just the order you posted the videos. Is the previous video where you noted the open door problem the latest review? It seems this is the original unit and the replacement had the door issue.
@@MrNORE14 Got it. Thanks, and I apologize for the oversight. I have one in the box (have not had time to dig into it yet) and have some concerns with the odor noted in other videos. I appreciate you sharing your experience and doing the work for all of us. I look forward to your update with the 3rd unit.
Have a BBQ pit smell not a smoke smell and it lasts about a day. I have my vents on when I use it but the smell is never so bad that I have to open a window and my smoke alarm has never gone off. Hope I answered your question.

@@Herkdiesel1976 it's vented but your not going to stop the BBQ pit smell. It has cooling vents on the bottom that spreads the BBQ smell not a smoke smell. Hope this helps.
Can’t wait for Ninja to show GE how it’s done for half the price
Not going to happen. Patents exist for a reason.
Ninja can't ever compete with this awesome product
@@J_LOVES_ME They expire eventually. How do you think they were able to release the Creami? The patent for the Pacojet expired.
Just purchased mine...the instruction bookket did mention one CAN add liquid (apple cider vinger, etc) in the drip tray for added moisture and flavor.

How much smoke smell have you had? While my apartment doesn't get smokey there is a pronounced smoke smell to the point I have to open a window.

It is supposed to be vented

@MrNORE14 Yes .I have one I have it setup at the window I just open the window about 2 to 3 inches and that seems to work really well
How energy efficient is it?
Sorry, I have no answer for that question. Never a question that I had thought of. Thanks.
Thing stinks 🤮
Too expensive. Too small. There will be copy cats who will increase size for half the prize. It’s a pass for me.
Agree, it is too expensive. I got it for much cheaper and around the price it should have been.
The Arden. This is not the GE
it was called the Arden until GE made it part of their profile line.
