Pokhara Lakeside is main tourist attraction place.I was shock that the taxi driver who you asked for Bhatbhateni supermarket is very high...second one return back to lakeside was almost fair price...only the driver who were parked in lakeside area they said more price than other area...hope you have had nice stay in my sweet home city Pokhara...

That taxi driver tried to charge you 3 ,4 times more….enjoy your Nepal series …be careful of scammers.
Giving him information about he has been looted will do no benefit to him...he will still be charged more everywhere until and unless government strictly fix tourist rates for everything.
Majority of Fruit vendors, juice centers, restaurant owners for Indian food, small time street vendors/shoe repairs etc .. and most of the Barbers etc come from bordering areas of India .. unfortunately, some scammers and beggars also make their way to Nepal- especially into Kathmandu, from India !! But, Nepalese people welcome that and it’s been almost like a tradition that people cross borders on both sides for better opportunities .. !! Hope you are doing good in Nepal 🇳🇵🙏 Enjoy your stay !!

This is a glimpse of what Nepal have to offer. But there are many places besides Pokhara and Kathmandu Valley. Gosaikuna, Muktinath, Rolpa, Dolpa, Dolakha, Bandipur to name a few as a suggestion to visit.
Reminds me of Baguio City here in the Philippines sans the snow capped mountains.😮

On your very first day in Pokhara, you skipped exploring Lakeside and trekked from Lakeside to Bhatbhateni solely to purchase two chocolates. You didn't fully explore the store, just grabbed the chocolates and departed, despite the availability of numerous supermarkets in the main Lakeside where you can find anything. We shared a good laugh about it.

For your cheap drive you can use indrive I mean you can ask the 2wheelers about indrive in Pokhara
Cost may 100 only
you could have taken a public bus which only takes 25 - 30 rupees from lakeside to the super store..and btw that taxi driver offered to 3 to 4 times the original rate which is veryyy bad..hope the authorities watch this video and punish that driver
I liked Kathmandu more than Pokhara because you could actually delve into the everyday lives of Nepalis. Pokhara, however, especially Lakeside, was a tourist trap with less to offer besides trekking gear and spa parlors.
