Hi my buddy, glad to see a new friend from France 🇫🇷. You are right. Besides water quality, the first breeder, Wenchun Zhang, mentioned that he made his own food with some natural gradients. DYI your fish food is not something new, you may find tons of home-made fish food recipes on TH-cam. While for goldfish farms, the challenge is to lower the cost. Their secret is to make cheep homemade fish food but still bring good nutritional to their goldfish. If you are goldfish hobbyists, I would recommend Hikari goldfish sinking pellets and Rapshay gel goldfish powder. You may find both on amazon. You are absolutely right. These high-quality never show up on your local pet stores. Why? Because of cost and high risks, not pet stores likes to import large amount of high quality goldfish. I am in US, so i bought All my goldfish from trusted online goldfish stores. I am not sure about Frances. I know there a few imported/shippers in UK are specialized in high-end goldfish. Go to Facebook and join some goldfish groups, and you should build your connections with them

Yes, they made dry pellets or granulates. These pellet recipes are normally considered as proprietary. I am not sure if I can get the recipes. The book, “traditional Chinese breeders”, at the end, does not have English version yet. It talks more about old Chinese goldfish keeping technology and goldfish history/culture, like using wooden bowl without a filter, and treat goldfish disease with natural herbs, etc. If lots of interests, I may translate it.

The most reliable way to remove chlorine from tap water is to leave the water in a tub or tank for 48 hour. I used to use water conditioner, but it did NOT work for long term. My Ranchu got fin rot. Then I only use the aged water. Problem is gone. No more fin rot or fungus over 3 years

Welcome to my club, Joseph. After releasing this video, several of my friends from India inquired about the goldfish farm contacts for potential exporting. I did reach out to several of my pro breeders in China. They told me that COVID-19 makes lots of things hard and live packages could not pass customs. Just wait for a few months, when things settle down, I can bridge you with them.
