Every time there is a new video I always think about how on earth you could top the last one. You're absolutely killing it Kye, never disappoint to amaze me man.
2:29 I like how the beatles album abbey road is top for 1969 and then after they broke up in 1970 George Harrisons album all things must past is another top and then john lennons imagine !!!
Very cool! But did anyone notice he didn’t actually trigger the snare during during Freddie Jackson’s “Rock Me Tonight”? Also, The Beach Boys’ “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” doesn’t have the crash just before the legendary snare hit that kicks in the song. You can hear Brian Wilson make very clear he doesn’t want this when listening to him produce the sessions for the song. Still, a neat video, all the same.
everythingsuck In one of the interviews with Glynn Frey on the Eagles documentary, he quoted (forget who said it) one of their label heads, and he said "this would be an amazing business, if it weren't for the artists". It seems their goal of eliminating "bands" and musicians who actually compose their own shit is long complete. Now, all they have to do is share a percentage with a poptart here and there, buy lyrics for their talentless auto tuned hack and horde the rest. There are still some great under the radar bands, but all the mainstream shit that actually gets air time and recognition is soulless garbage.

To people asking about missing artists: these are the 75 albums that Capitol Records chose to reissue for their 75th birthday. You'd have to ask them why a certain artist isn't included. Personally, my only real gripe is that "Barracuda" was not on that Heart album. I'd love to have seen a Gentle Giant album included (though Capitol might not control the rights anymore).
As you showed the album Heart, I noticed that you played Barracuda. That song was on a different album, 1977's "Little Queen", and was released on the Portrait label.
You got something wrong. Heart's 'Barracuda' was a single on the Portrait label, and was released in 1977 not 1985. They did have their self-titled album on Capitol in 1985. The big single from that record was 'What About Love?'
Led Zeppelin next please!!!!!!!

Does anyone know the names of the songs and not just the name of the albums which are featured in the video
I've found all the titles. Sorry, I learned this video just last week, and the creator is busy playing his drum kit.

forgot to mention Masters Of Maple Drums in the description
As you showed the album Heart, I noticed that you played Barracuda. That song was on a different album, 1977's "Little Queen", and was released on the Portrait label.
So good man! Keep it up!!
Amazing work!
The brushes in Be Bop a Lula has one making circular strokes around the snare
I've seen this so many times I can probably sing the whole thing
I wish you could do more drum chronologies on more record companies!
can you do a 5 minute chronology for Brand New Please and thank you:)
Oklahoma credits should probably go to Richard Rodgers since he was the main composer, of the tune in question and for the entire soundtrack.
What an emotion. Thank you.
Could you do a Menzingers drum chronology. 5 Records should be enough right?
I see that Wail City Snare there. Nick is one of the greatest humans ever, and his drums are probably the best I've ever heard.
You got something wrong. Heart's 'Barracuda' was a single on the Portrait label, and was released in 1977 not 1985. They did have their self-titled album on Capitol in 1985. The big single from that record was 'What About Love?'
Barracuda by Heart was in the incorrect order.
Also, it was not a hit song on Capitol
@@PaulinaAngel Not epic
So pleased to see Richard Thompson on here.
Can you do a chronologhy of Freddie Records?
Love love it!! Thank you!
From classic to today's greatest music of Capitol Records. Awesome drum chronology of Capitol Records, Kye. My Favorite was @2:41-2:45 : )
What happened in the Barracuda placed in 1985, and in the Heart "Heart" album??
Fantastic job!
where are u2?
Can you do a Beastie Boys drum chronology?
Oh dude! I love this!
Good to see Crowded House in there. Keep up the great work Kye
Snare sounds awesome...what kind is it?
This is amazing!
Crazy how much music has changed
What's that kit! It's beautiful man, and this was awesome.
It don't come easy was a single from 1970....not included in the Ringo album which is from 73
2:55 song?
Excellent job! Not sure that Heart's "Barracuda" is featured on their '85 self titled album though...
Beautiful job Kye. Just one thing, Baracuda came out in 1976.
