    I have seen these built by ppl on TH-cam but this is brilliant. I was looking for something like this to begin playing about with my router for small signs for houses in my area and this is perfect. I think it will take a fair bit of use with this to get up to scratch with it but it's a great little tool tbf. It's cheap enough too so ur not spending a small fortune to get started in sign making.. I will be buying one of these soon now

    I'm used to larger, corded routers th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.

    A link to this video needs to be featured prominently in the owner's manual that comes with the pantograph. Got this for Christmas. Looking forward to trying it out. How about a video showing the adjustable support fixture?

      Your correct, miles-craft create nice products , unfortunately their instruction that comes with their products are very poor. Thanks to the WWW there are some videos out there.

    The beginning of the video shows a different set up on the support fixture than is shown later in the video, specifically the size and location of the support fences. Why the change/difference in the setups?

    • @milescraft
      @milescraft  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! The camera angles have changed, but the parts do not. In general, when using the product and standing at the handle , the support fences will be on the left side. One is about halfway up the board, and support fence two is much closer, and your support board will have a larger open area on the further end than the closer. If you have any other questions feel free to send them to info@milescraft.com. Thanks!

    • @dadelusroarer9093
      @dadelusroarer9093 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@milescraft Please look at the video, it has nothing to do with camera angles. The initial view in the video at 0:02 to 0:05 clearly shows the lower support fence is smaller than 10 inches long and is not aligned to the left side of the support fixture, but is clearly located centrally on the support fixture. Then from 0:05 to 0:07 the video clearly shows the upper support fence, while it appears to be 10 inches long, is not aligned to the left side of the support fixture and is centrally located on the support fixture and the lower support fence is still clearly not aligned to the left side of the support fixture, is clearly not 10 inches long and is clearly centrally located on the support fixture. This layout is different than what is shown in the video from 1:45 to 2:25.

      @dadelusroarer9093 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jdub5885 I was a bit confused with the video for the same reason, which is why I watched it so closely and noticed the initial setup is different than what is shown later. I just changed mine to be like the first setup between 0:02 and 0:07 and it works better to allow starting closer to the end of the board you are making the sign on. The printed instructions that came with the pantograph are terrible, and I just threw them away and have watched a number of videos.

    Are there any guidance to how I can make the carving bigger than the original?

    • @milescraft
      @milescraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The PantographPRO copes at a 50% reduction, not a 1:1 ratio or 2:1 ratio. To rout a larger letter or pattern you will need to increase the size of your stencil.

    • @davidmurray5687

      You can use your fixed-base router. Remember, the depth of cut is set before you turn the router on.

    • @milescraft
      @milescraft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a fixed base router, but most users find that a plunge base router is preferred.
