- Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's revelations in his autobiography 'Playing it My Way', which will be released on Wednesday, has shocked the cricket world. In his autobiography, Sachin said that former coach of the Indian cricket team Greg Chappell had asking him to take over captainship from Rahul Dravid months before the 2007 World Cup. Sachin added that Chappell took Indian cricket six years behind. However, Chappell has denied the allegations. Saurav Ganguly, Harbajan Singh and VVS Laxman have come out strongly in support of the claims that Chappell was a 'ringmaster' who dented the morale of the team.

VVS Laxman had knee surgeries and could not run between the wickets, but he could not be dropped as he was a senior player.
