    This method for cutting apart a magazine is such a good idea. Having categories set up ahead of time keeps you focused on what you are looking for.

    I am not a junk journalir, but I love collage, decopage, and art journaling. This video gave me great ideas on how to use and make some ephemera that I could use in my art journals. Thank you so much!

    Thank you, big time. I have to try this. I do things differently than most people. I buy 2 magazines of the same issue. Then I can use both sides of the page in I want to. I also have extras if I want to do a project twice. I don't have a copied or printer plus I really like how the pages are put together and how they feel. I love textures, and I can make it 3D. Plus, sometimes I buy an extra one for a close sister in the Lord. She is an artist also😊😊😊

    Hi, I have a great idea and I hope you like it. In the USA, we use inches 2/3 or 3/4. so I look at the difference, and then I write the difference in inches, etc, on the paper. Then, when I use, I know where to cut it. I do it also in the recipes, so when I cook it. I have it already to use . Thanks for the awesome ideals

    I also love the fonts used in Daphne’s Diary. I save that as well. I will mount it to some heavier card stock, apply decorative napkin over it with gel medium, then cut out into small pieces for faux postage stamps ❤️

      Not an issue, only if you make copies. You are allowed to use images you purchase in a book or magazine in your art. All mine are legal, because if you looked under, you'd see I cut it straight from the source.

    Great video. It’s always helpful to have some method to the madness when harvesting images like this. It makes most sense to me to start with fussy cuts. After removing the images I can then look for space for tags, tickets, interesting bit s for snippets, etc. Leftover full pages are good bases for collage envelopes for me. I generally use patterned paper in these kinds of magazines for greeting cards.

    • @MichelleRaeLandry
      @MichelleRaeLandry 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ladyflimflam I do the same...I start with fussy cuts and then look for ephemera that can be cut from the remaining space. I also call it harvesting... book harvesting. Clearly we think alike. ;-) Do you find it relaxing? I do in at night by the tv... instead of needlework. LOL Love my scissors!

    Bravo Luize, now the challenge would be to turn this all into one journal. Should you decide to accept this challenge I think your viewers would really find that so interesting. Maybe you could challenge Barbara to do the same with another magazine. 💕
