This negotiation is taking almost this year to finalize, this country is too hard already to be competing with empty stomach every month. Hopefully this negotiation will end by next week.

The interviewers heard a superior argument. Ajaero said it all; Manufacturers increase their margins when cost of production goes up, but they (govt) want workers wage to be stagnant

The NLC President who try to compare the minimum wage structure in the United State to that of Nigeria has no idea of what comes with determination of the minimum wages aside from the national minimum wages that states come with it. Minimum wage is not based on how rich a state is but mostly on cost of living index and the benefit package involved in the employment. When I listen to organized labor in Nigeria talk their focus is mostly on monthly salaries and nothing about benefits such as health insurance. An employer government or private that pays for health insurance for the employee is going to consider that benefit when it comes to determining what to pay the employee. The idea that a state and local government is rich enough to pay a minimum wage demanded by organized labor is not the way to look at it. An employee who lives in the smallest state in Nigeria where the cost of living is very low should not expect to be on the same minimum wage level aside from the national minimum wage with an employee that lives in Lagos. For example in the United States, there are states where employees do not pay income taxes and in such states the minimum wage is not going to be the same as that of employees that pay income tax. These leverages as regards to income tax do not exist in Nigeria. I am sure that the NLC President may or may not be aware of these differences. The NLC cannot win this case just on their own position of how they look at the variables. In fact the private sector drives the economy of a nation and not necessarily the government and the government is away of that and hence all parties must be carried along.

How does the price of selling petrol in Cameroon concern us in Nigeria? Why should rogues be able to take Nigerian fuel into neighbouring West African countries to sell above the price in Nigeria? The security agencies needs to do their job patriotically.

Why not the government cut down some of the senators allowances? See how much their collecting as an allowance and the military personnel can even afford to pay their children school fees. The teachers can not boost something good to go home with. Look at food commodity rising everyday can't they be control in food commodities?

We supplies fuel to other countries yet in our country subsidy removal is not working as long as I'm concerned. Look at common garri is in the high side of it. Does Mr President cares at all for the least citizens? Many people died on hungry this days. Just a review of minimum wage is taking time to be implemented but the national anthem didn't take time to be implemented. What's important most, the minimum wage or the national anthem?

Your states in the southeast e.g anambra state since time immemorial has been owing salaries and even the current 25k minimum wage in anambra, you are not even meeting up and you have the nerve to come here and talk. This is the same state that was managed by your most intelligent politician, Peter obi.
