Imagine if Gaijin would make HESH work properly how it does in IRL. Gaijin HESH isn't just a HE with different color and name. The HESH was so good that i think in Gulf war British used nothing else but HESH due to how effective it was in taking out tanks.
They did when the british tree was first introduced, but all the IS-6 players whined and screamed and cried until it was reduced to it's current state.

Let's take the Lancia. If I remember correctly you got 110mm (or is it thr heat that has the 110mm of pen?)of pen with it. You would be able kill pretty much Amy tank/heavy tanks around 5.7. Even Jumbos would be easy kill.

So not only it should be almost impossible for it to bounce because the head of the round squash on the armore, explode but it send all that shock into the armore causing it to crack and shrapnel into the tank. That's in easy terms how the shell works. I would say it would be much more effective then heat shell.
@@Kminek246 ik ur frustration, but as a fun fact, u gotta test hesh. In the hitcam, look closely, ull see the hesh round (when hitting sloped areas and not ricocheting) does almost 90º turn to be perpendicular to the armor, like if it was hitting at 0º, dats why it has all angles with same pen

I use this truck with the HEAT shells against TAMs and Rooklats all the time in high tier. Sometimes BMPs, but most of the time they get me when I can't one shot them. LOL. Tons of fun.

I've been taking some downtime at work to read up on pre-WWII and early-war vehicles, and apparently there are two or three more gun trucks we could possibly see added to the game, one of them being their awesome 90mm cannon. A 90/53 Lancia 3Ro would be somewhat equivalent to the German 8.8cm Flak 37 Sfl. and the Russian YaG-10 29-K, and I'd love to see it.
I think the best parts of this amazing video was when you started laughing and it got increasingly more funny as you played and did more risky stuff with it and pulled it off hahah, good job as per usual!

It's only effective if you have exceptional awareness, exceptional positioning, and know where to shoot. Also, unless you kill many enemies, you're not helping your team win.
Yo, I took this out at 7.7 the other day and came up against an IS-3, was totally going to die until my teammate bombed him and knocked out the mg, allowing me to clean up with a HESH. Honestly the best clip I've got, it was so funny, the poor guy 😂
The ARL-44's are pretty good, actually. Both of them have times where they feel like its a Tank Destroyer playing as a Heavy tank and a Heavy tank playing as a tank destroyer. the 3.7 one will have a pretty decent time bouncing some shots.
Its got a huge turret thats 100mm thick. With -5 depression. The hull can bounce long 88 shells when angled. But the turret is a trivial target to hit. And it has no overlapping plate bullshit like the panther does to artificially buff its survivablility.
That was disgusting, but at the same time, the ASU is one of the disgusting tier 1 tanks that get brought into uptiers. Ho-ro, 15cm Sturm, m/43 trumpet gun, Lancaster, and the ASU. The most powerful glass cannons in the game.

Anyway, why not drive in reverse with a truck within proximity to enemies in urban, or after contact has been established in an open area? I absolutely love the perfect storm that created vehicles like this during WW2. You've got material and economic shortages, as well as industry and technology that's just capable enough to allow you to mount a massive cannon on a truck out of a combination of capability, desperation, and necessity. It's beautiful. You had to build stupid things like this because it was all you could AFFORD to build.
It ain't stupid or desperation, it's mobile artillery. That truck wasn't built to engage tanks irl, it's an howitzer. It's a more convenient way to carry artillery as you don't need a gun carriage that you gotta tow using the same truck, that you got to unhook and set up before being able to shoot. Fun fact, irl the "HESH" was actually HEAT with the fuse set in the bottom of the shell instead of the tip.

The lack of front traversal is definately why it's such a low BR. It's a hard vehicle to position well before you get greased, but I keep it in my 2.0 BR italy list because it's fun to drive around.

Dear odd, I've been enjoying your content for about 18 months now. Really love it! But why do you keep skipping the cas part (which is really lovely to watch most of the time - at least for me)?
It's easy to kill but hard to spot because there's no front plate on the gun so the only thing that pops up over the hill is the gun and the heads of the people you might shoot at, gg and have a good day to anybody reading this
I don't know where Gaijin gets there specs for some vehicles. The reload for an Abrams is about 5 or 6 seconds in real life but something like twice that in the game.

Idk if they will buff it, but it isn't just HE with a yellow hat, it conserves its pen in all angles and is extremely effective in angled armor
