it's pretty much a hit and miss. openai's models are still OG.
same exact prompts on mistral Q8 with the same context return inferior results compared to gpt3.5
I'd rather pay for the api usage, it's less than 1USD if I stick to 3.5turbo for like a month.
I don't care so much about privacy since my use case is generating study notes from a book, no personal files. I embedded a book with tousands of pages and it cost like 2 cents lol

man get a free trial of perplexity, use opus and any error you encounter following this tutorial, ask it, reference this tutorial and you cant fail, unless you are lazy af
