gotchu the tip: make a redstone block use door to keep ur base safe and put ur house into hill / underground cause it would defend villagers from lightning
upd: and make facing wall that comes out the hill (if ya doing hill one like 2+ layers (for villager protection too if u wanna display the vilagers with same layout that u got rn)

If you're using bsl, you should turn the fog all the way up in the fog settings, desaturate the colours a little and decrease the intensity of night and day times to 0.2 and 0.35. itll feel good.
