I have two queries.
1. I am a service provider with a turnover of less than 1.5Cr. However, due to a lack of knowledge, I paid for the software already. Can I get a refund for it? If not, can I not pay for its renewal and continue to use it for free?
2. I collect my payments through payment gateways, a two-step process. Buyer to payment gateway and then to my bank account after deducting their commission and taxes. Would you happen to have any video on how to post these entries and reconcile my statements?
How can this software help in real estate construction Ma'm.

I have a doubt. Posting expenses.. there is only cash or bank option. In my case our shipping company is giving me 30 days credit. How to credit shipping company when the bill comes, on due date while making payment we can debit shipping company and credit bank.

You can create a Payable account under current liabilities and use that account to book your expenses, at the same time select the vendor for the expenses, so that you can obtain all the details when you go to the vendor profile. While making the payment, debit the same payable account.

I have a customer that buys the same items over and over. How can I copy an old invoice to a new invoice on Zoho? This is easily done on QB. Thx
There’s an option called Clone where the old invoice will be copied and you can change the invoice number, date etc. You’ll find this option in the drop down of the old invoice

1: Where i can see the party wise transaction details Like Ledger wise in Tally?
2: I have to pass bank entries in zoho books. So one option is import from excel format to zoho or Manually entries are passed in zoho.. Whichever is best mam?
3: How to record payment to vendors or against expns entry in zoho?
Under Customers and Vendors you can see go to Statements and download for whichever period you require.
Integrating your bank to Zoho and using banking module to pass the entry is the best.

You can use API to pull these transactions directly from the website so that invoices can be created directly.
If you’re planning not to maintain inventory, you can create a few items with different GST rates and repeatedly use those items for invoicing.
Hi Nikita your videos on Zoho Books are well structured and makes it easy for persons without accounting knowledge to grasp the basics. Do you think Zoho Books can be used as the main accounting software for smal to medium Co-op Housing Socities and do you have any videos on the same. There are around 2.3 Lakh CHS in Maharashtra which could benefit from a good accounting software.

Yes, you can go to Settings > Preferences > Templates > Invoices and choose from the existing templates, also, a lot of fields can be changed/ customsied

iMa'am Nikki, i am a newbie in Zohobooks, first thing i have done is transport my bank statement in Zohobooks then i record all my transactions in Journal. Is what i am doing right or i need to go to Expenses when i have to record expenses? or it is okay to recors all my transaction in Journal? i hope i could get an answer with my concerns. Thank you.
For recording purchases, go to Purchases > Bills
For recording expenses, go to Purchases > Expenses
And for recording/ matching already recorded transactions from bank statement, go to banking module.
You can use journals, however, journals cannot be used for customers and vendors, so to ensure that customer and vendor balances are correctly recorded, go to Sales and Purchases modules to record transactions.

Can we use zoho books for trucking and brokerage or quickbooks is better?
Zoho has a easier user interface, even if you are not from accounts background it’ll be easier, opt for Zoho. Take the trail version and test it for your business.
How to create company mam
Go to settings and organisation profile. You can mention all details of your company in Organisation Profile.

Can non accountants use it for all gst returns compliance
Yes, if proper sales and purchases information is maintained Zoho Books can be used for GST filing by non-accountants as well. You can take training and learn how to do it once.
Opinion for busy software vs zoho
For manufacturing company
Wave accounting is free unless you request payments and use some advanced features. Just that we won’t be able to use it to file GST return.
What is your opinion on Wave accounting ?
I have not used it yet. You can always export reports on Excel and use Govt. tools to file GST returns. So if Wave is supporting all your accounting needs and you find it convenient, go ahead.

@@CANikitaPunjabi Yes. For some users id logins . Specific stock category should not be visible.
@@MS-ff9qo - Currently that option is not available in Zoho Books or Zoho Inventory. However, you can write to their support team once.

Zoho Inventory gives you that feature. Or else if you aren't using Zoho Inventory, you can add a customised field by going to Setting > Preferences > Items and Add Customisation
