my aap01 sometimes burst fires in single fire generally when its near the end of the mag. do you think I need a new firing pin lock or auto sear? relevant upgrades: cowcow lightweight bbu, waldo recoil + nozzle spring
Good video. But I don't understand why you pull all the safety and trigger out just to pull out the hammer cage. I just remove the two back pins then pull the trigger and the cage pop's up.and out.
Do you know if the auto sear will only work with aftermarket hammer? Something broke in my hammer assembly and oddly enough it was the auto sear, nothing else.
@@nickvandersanden4133 that is the fire pin lock, It does exactly what it sounds like. It locks the fire pin in the cocked position after each shot and prevents all misfires. You are likely having an issue with it somewhere. Either it's broken, or it doesn't fit in it's spot correctly, or it's worn out. Is it an upgrade part or a stock part?
@@Wyhaq bought a new one because the old one made it double fire with one trigger pull. (Commented on other vid ;)) The new one doenst seem to fit for some reason.. it doesnt move as free as the old one so the spring doesnt push it up all the way
@@James_Maguire these parts are not advertised as being compatible with aap-01, and a large amount of people are unaware that you can upgrade these parts. At the time this was filmed and posted; googling for aap01 fire pin lock etc yielded no results.

How often does the auto sear break on these. I have upgraded the hammerset and am getting the fire pin lock as well.

Hi my aap-01 is stuck on full auto and I have the cow cow hammer set
You need the auto sear
I just take out the back 2 pins and pull the trigger and wiggle the trigger until to get it out it always works

Aye man quick question, my AAP-01 blow back thingy doesn’t rack properly. It gets stuck and doesn’t fully go back in any idea what’s wrong with it?

have you tried lubing it up if im thinking of what it is then that would help
It is very likely that your piston head is dry or warped.
Um I’ll try to lube it, any recommendations to where I can get lube from?
