When it comes to special teams, the kicker is just as important as the quarterback. Learn the role you play on the field during a change of possession.
tips: never use high top cleats never use orange tee use comfortable steps tilt the ball straight up and down land on your kicking leg and follow thru with your whole body, not just leg don’t watch this video, very bad information.
Obviously - you need to drive that kicking ball to the likely target - deep into the end zone so that even the back-most returner will likely opt to let the ball go deep into the end zone and opt for the touchback, but if you do not want to do this (on orders of the football coach), try to kick the ball with about a teeny less force - 95 percent, and make it a line drive, so it targets close to the goal line, where your defenders can try to stop the kick returner (if he catches the ball) before making it to the, say, 10 or even 20 yard line with a quick tackle--and something else, the kicker turns into a defender-tackler, so you play a role too---not just kicking-off. You need to also prepare to tackle the kick returner.
Don’t wear high top cleats, don’t use the orange tee they show in the video, use comfortable steps (I take 8 steps back), put the ball straight up on the tee, keep your plant foot facing forward, practice as much as possible and keep working
Additionally, keep your hips square to the target line, stay on the Hypotenuse, keep your foot locked on contact and hit the ball on the hard part of the bone between your instep and on top of your foot. Explode through the ball and you want to hurdle on your follow through and land on your kicking foot (for kickoffs. Work on kickoffs without the ball and try go get good weight transfer on your hurdle.

Nah it’s personal preference
Yep
It’s 10
It's what ever feels comfortable. But I do like the way a 10 and 5 over feels on deeper kickoffs
Terrible advice
