Good to remember THE Eise Eisinga Planetarium at Franeker, builded THE Eise Eisinga Planetarium at about 1824 just in his house, by using wooden sticks and wooden equipment.
As a proud citizen of Hamburg (Germany) I would also like to mention the "Planetarium Hamburg". It may not be as big as some of the others, but it is a beautiful building, and offers great and interesting shows. (Though mostly just for german speaking audiences. So I understand why it is not on this list.)
Pardon me, this is vewy intewesting, but needs some updating. The Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ needs to be added. It's currently the world's fourth largest planetarium (North America's largest, as well as the largest in the Western Hemisphere--wow!), opened in December 2017, and can seat up to 400. Some time early next year, the Shanghai Planetarium'll capture the title of world's largest planetarium from Nagoya City Science Center's planetarium. Pretty cool, huh? A couple more requested details coming later!

There is a Birla planetarium in india....very well maintained and excellent shows that are a sneak peak into the universe.....
