We have same blower and did what you did to clean it. We also shifted the motor 180 degrees when RE-installing it and it is much quieter and doesn’t gather as much dust. Great little motor is almost 50 years old being from a 1983 consolidated Dutchwest federal airtight Woodstove we were lucky enough to get with our new home. MODEL FA226CCL Serial Number 11632. I read somewhere that it doesn’t need to be oiled but that could be wrong info. Thanks for video!
Good video!! For the Ground Wire, a crimped Ring Terminal and then through the screw would guarantee it doesn't come off. Better would be a self tapping screw through one of the sides but still using a Ring Terminal. This avoids depending on one of the cover screws. I have to suspect this fan may not have used a ground cord originally though..so this maybe a replacement.
The nice thing about those Plastic grommets is that you don't have to disconnect the wiring you can just slide it over the wire and push it down into the hole I think?

Trying to troubleshoot my Buckstove blower problem. This didn't solve my problem but what a great video! Thank you for posting. :)

Wouldn't the glue stop you from undoing it next time ?
That fan is exactly like my greenhouse inflation fan by Schaefer. My cage has grease all over it. Trying to find a way to get it clean. Thank you.
Would heater rope or rtv work as a gasket?
