One guy is from Slovenia and other from Croatia. I am glad you put on one of my guys. I am from Slovenia too 😊
Tim Gaijser fan, huh?
Two of my favorite places I've been to 🤘🤘
Two of my favorite places that I've been to 🤘🤘
@@frankiek2269 4 sure 😉
To je lepa dežela.
Yes they do this live. You need to see them do Smooth Criminal and They don't care about us. 😮 ❤
ABSOLUTELY!!
Not any more. They stopped being "2 cellos"
They also did highway to hell cover as well, that is definitely worth a watch
2 Cellos did a live performance with Steven Tyler in the Coliseum in Rome several years ago. Y'all really need to check that video out!
The most amazing thing about music is 2 dudes being able to make something like this from a couple of pieces of wood and a few strings.
Even fewer by the time they finish 😂🎉 You would not want to use a classical bow for this .. damn things cost as much as the instruments.
They are actually using Electric Violins in concert
They have covers on a massive amount of rock hits, show tunes, etc. They even did a video with Yo Yo Ma. From what I had read they were competitors at the university level and then became friends. A friend asked if they could reproduce on their cellos what they listened to on the radio. So they did. Sometimes they are just themselves and sometimes they get theatrical (like this performance). Either way they are really fabulous. Glad y'all enjoyed it.
The 2Cellos have come to Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA several times. They are awesome.
Shredding it!! One time use bows OMG Amazing 🤩🤘🏻🤘🏻
Classical musicians are some of the most well trained in the world. They usually focus on one instrument, but are talented in multiple instruments due to there need to compose on several instruments for the purpose of orchestra writing. I am lucky enough to live in a city that has an amazing, world renowned music school and to watch even the students perform is mind blowing.
Several years ago I was fortunate enough to see John Williams (yes the soundtrack of your youth John Williams) conduct the student philharmonic for the school. As he was receiving his honorary doctorate he mentioned that he had worked with several alumni and noted that he always knew when he had professionals who had trained there. He said their training, dedication, preparation and professionalism was obvious at all times. I think that was pretty high praise from the maestro himself.
And often you’re playing multiple instruments within a family. As an oboist, I sometimes had to also play English horn. I could have played oboe d’amour as well if it was ever needed. In the woodwind and brass families, if you know the primary instrument you are often asked to play the variants of your instrument.
This is one of my favorite covers to show people when I share new music with them. There are so many talented people out there.
"So you want to be a rock star?". Official video of 2cellos Trooper Overture is even better.
I've seen them live in concert and they are incredible!
Smooth Criminal is a MUST!
Earlier this year Hauser (the cellist in the light coat) paired up with Dimash when they were on the show "Virtuosos". Hauser accompanied him when he sang "Ave Maria" and then Dimash did a duet with Placido Domingo.
Thank you so much for doing this reaction! Love it! ☮️❤️🎼
In my opinion, the classical artists were the rock stars of their time.
You just GOTTA see these guys perform live - you'll never forget it!
I saw them live..fantastic!
Never heard of them. Thank you for reacting to this so I can see them! ❤
Check out Steve 'n' Seagulls 🤯🤯 take on Thunderstruck - they're a Finnish band and play it on traditional Bluegrass instruments (accordion, SPOONS, mandolin, few drums and AN ANVIL!!) 😂 It's so crazy that it works so amazing. I just knew that those guys were good-ole boys from the back-woods - y'know, straight out of Deliverance - NOPE! 🤘Rock on, Kelly 🤘
Edited to add that I'm pretty sure they did this in one take.
Yes! I came in to comment the same! Bluegrass covers of rock and metal!!
I was just going to post the same. Another unique adaptation to this great song.
YES!!!!!!!
X4!
Hayseed Dixie is a fun bluegrass.
The 2Cellos are amazing!! They did all kinds of rock, classical, and popular songs. I heard about them 7 years ago and thought it would be interesting to see them live so I went to a concert. Wow what a show!!! At each concert they had a local symphony orchestra play with them for some songs and a drummer that toured with them. 2Cellos would interact with the audience. After seeing them in concert I would have to say that the 2Cellos are the best concert I have ever been too!!! Sadly they don't tour together anymore but Stjepan Hauser tours solo.
Background. Hauser is from Pula, Croatia, and Šulić is from Maribor, Slovenia (to a Croatian father and Slovenian mother). They met at a master class in Pula while still in their teens. They were both educated at the Academy of Music in Zagreb....... And YES they TOUR
Sadly, TOURED. They disbanded in 2022 and took on solo projects. Luka returned to classical music and living with his family. Stjepan is still touring.
I've seen them live twice, and they're even better! They inject a lot of playfulness into the show, and it's so much fun! 7:49
I saw them open for Elton John a few years back in Raleigh, NC. They had the whole arena rocking out!
2 Cellos are amazing. You should hear their version of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal. They are amazing!
Great reaction, by the way! You two rock!!
Hey guys what was the one they did with Steve Vai.
@@jacquisampson-marat5277AC/DC Highway To Hell
This is my favorite reaction of yours that I've seen. Y'all are awesome!!! Thanks so much for what you do. ✌️❤️
Gotta check out 2Cellos doing Guns 'N Roses "Welcome to the Jungle."
I’m a punk rocker from way back and gained massive respect for AC/DC after seeing them live in the late 80’s. I’ve always loved the cello and this is fantastic!
It would have been great if they said at the end ..... "You may not be ready for this yet, but your kids are gonna love it!" (a throwback to Back to the Future).
Totally made me think of that scene in back to the future
45 years old and always been a Krizz and Tech fan but so happy you have him getting into this stuff because I like him more and more as a person❤
This was absolutely Amazing.... Nothing more to say...
I found these guys here on TH-cam and had to buy their album... they are great... and I'm not normally into that. But I really enjoyed it. They are great. It seriously gives me the chills listening to them play... love it.
If you ever watch NBA and OKC Thunder are at home, you'll hear Thunderstruck. The guys on the Cello's blow people's hats off!!! I love their performances.
2Cellos were a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists Luka Šulić (born in Maribor, Slovenia to a Croatian father and Slovenian mother) and Stjepan Hauser born in Pula, Croatia. Drummer Dušan Kranjc (born in Pula, Croatia) joined the group in 2011. I had to copy and paste because I cannot do the special symbols.......they've stopped touring in early 2024 it seems. One of the guys, I've already lost that piece as to who, was born in 1987..... I feel freakin' old!
Always a great video to re-watch! Love their talent and their humor!
Caught these guys during one of their tours through Italy. Fabulous! :)
Edit: Since I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan, I particularly enjoy their "Whole Lotta Love" videos.
These dudes absofuqinlutely ROCK!!! They're so damn good Elton John called to have them open for him on his last tour!!!
I believe 2Cellos toured with Elton John. They also performed on America's Got Talent.
America's got talent was two other guys, it was two young kids
And they appeared on Glee in one episode
@@nanook637 My mistake.
Just so many good videos by them. They took a break during Covid, and Hauser is out there creating new works.
And, you need to see their drummer, Dusan. 🤣 He has a Tee Shirt with "Animal" from The Muppets.. which just about sums him up.
Back when I used to be a cook in kitchens, we'd play guess that song, and play these guys!! Very fond memories!! 😁😁
2cellos is some serious skill. I listened to these guys for a grip through rough times. Makes your day…. Epic. I love classical/modern crossovers so if you dig this kinda stuff, check out the Vitamin String Quartet as well.
Krizz Kaliko is one my favorite rappers. Just watched his reactions to In the Air Tonight (live), and Hotel California and I can tell he genuinely enjoys music. That makes me a bigger fan just to know he's just a cool dude.
Here is Wikipedia info: 2Cellos were a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. Signed to Sony Masterworks in 2011, they released six albums. The duo played instrumental arrangements for cellos of well-known pop and rock songs, as well as classical and film music. The duo performed internationally and were featured on several American television series including Glee and The Bachelor (Sean and Catherine's Wedding). They continue to be active as solo performers. They haven’t performed together since 2022. You gotta hear their version of Smooth Criminal!
Sulic and Hauser are absolutely fuckin' shredding that horsehair.🤘
Metal and classical actually work together so beautifully, metal is popping up all over the world using traditional/classical instruments and it is gorgeous.
If you haven't checked them out yet, The Hu is a Mongolian metal band that blends traditional instruments and throat singing with modern instruments. If you want to understand the lyrics, you'll have to turn the captions on. Yuve Yuve Yu is the first video they ever released.
Love Hu Band.
3:35 watching that “uh what are we watching” to head nod to a grin, is amazing.
I’ve seem them live. It is indescribably amazing
These guys are amazing! They are so talented.
Both cellist are form Croatia, Two cellos, Luka Sulic and Stejepan Houser, and yes the still played but not together anymore, the could play classical style or rock or pop songs, but they performed solo, they are incredible and very carismatic
I did not know that. Thanks for the information.👍
Luka is from Sloveneija
It always amazes me, the incredible variety of sounds they can get out of a pair of cellos. Love watching these super talented guys!
Yes, I've heard of them and had to see your reaction because I love these two 😂😂😂
I’ve seen them twice- they do this for hours. They are amazing. Check out more of their videos. They will blow your mind. BTW, they don’t play with a group. I had seen them with a drummer earlier in their career, but they dropped him (and he was really good, too, comparable level). I think he is from Croatia, but don’t bank on that.
my daughter played cello in high school. She taught herself to play carry on wayward son on cello, it sounded really cool .Its surprising to hear these kinds of songs on that kind of instrument because you wouldn't usually associate the two. I also would recommend their version of smooth criminal
WOW. What is there to say? You must do more of these guys!
Thunder Struck by ACDC in cello!!!! AMAZING!!! They opened for Elton John and did this verson.
I see a lot of live music, mostly metal. I took my teenaged daughter to see 2Cellos. It was a great show, we both absolutely loved it. They're fantastic.
My nephew walked down the aisle to the Two Lord of the rings theme and lol and the two cello's music was the only music played the rest of the night they are awesome!
The first time i heard krizzkaliko was in strangulation..destroyed that sick drum beat
Well now you've got to do thunderstruck on the flaming bagpipes ❤😂
Love this!! The look on Krizz's face was priceless!!
Hello to KrizzKaliko. I enjoy the reactions you have to the videos. I know how good the music is, without hearing it, just by seeing how engaged you are.
Hi BP how's the RL family? Doing well I hope. 😊
They are fantastic live, their cover of The Trooper (Iron Maiden) is a belter
💕💕💕 Love these guys. They also play "Smooth Criminal", "Highway To Hell" and "Eye Of The Tiger".
They are amazing!
Not only do they tour, but they were hired to tour with none other than the legend Sir Elton John. He saw one of their videos and said "I have to have them with us." They opened for him for a while.
Crazy to think first time I heard you mate was with Krizz on the tbp cypher. The look on his face and expression when you went nuts is still imprinted in my brain. Also the use of the word “fu*kery” been using it since was dropped in that cypher.
So good seeing you both working together
Saw these guys live at red rocks what an absolutely amazing experience that was
This was amazing! Great Reaction......
First time seeing the two cellos; absolutely LOVED it!!!! Wish I stayed with the violin lessons when I was much younger 😂
The first time ever saw them perform was on Glee as background to a singing challenge of Naya Rivera & Grant Gustin. I heard on youtube doing the song "Smooth Criminal". I've enjoyed their work since.
As for from what language 'Cello' stems:
The instrument was invented ways back in the 16th century in northern Italy as Violoncello. After a while, they shortened it to cello. Basically, its a bass violin.
These guys are breaking strings on their bows, they goin hard
They have taken a break on touring, saw them in Amsterdam: amazing!!
Watched theses guys live a little while ago. Was brilliant
By all means....GO! See everyone you can. Bucket lists baby!
Just saw Robert Plant, Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan all in one concert! Three legends!
Amazing experience!
Don't stay home!😅
Music an amazing universal force.
In the 60s or early 70s the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra started doing popular music and became The Boston Pops. The group that did “Nights in White Satin” had an orchestra performing with the. I think it was the Moody Blues. “Classically” trained musicians were, and are, playing in a lot of popular music. Especially violinists.
From the idea it reminds me of David Garrett who does this mixing of classic instruments with modern songs with his violin. I love their Thunderstruck version but I think the music video is also a great choice showing all those sophisticated adults getting steamrolled by something new while the kids just enjoy the music
They are amazing live!
That's talent. Even time for an Aussie break dancing routine in honour of AC/DC at the end.
I have seen them several times live. They do bring in a drummer. They did abounch of different bands. Micheal jackson, u2 Metallica what ever you can think of.
I checked out their upcoming concerts and they only have one booked for the rest of the year and that is in Paris France. So they are still together.
They definitely were playing the cellos, you can see from the bows. That was amazing to watch!!!
Fantastic reaction guys.
I love these guys, they are so talented. Highway to hell is my favorite
I love 2Cellos so much. I played all sorts of Symphony instruments and many of my friends do "get" classical. Love to show them 1/2 and 1/2 that 2Cellos does.
Walk off the Earth; Thunderstruck, at the Sydney Opera House. You start off thinking it's going to be one of their cuter videos, because Johnny is playing on a Ukulele..., then tiny little Sarah walks up to the mic and Bonn Scott stands up in his grave and rocks out to what she delivers there.
they did tour at one point and have 6 albums out but have since split up although they both still perform just not together. Their final performance together was in 2021
You need to check out the live show at the Sydney Opera House..... Smells Like Teen Spirit...... pure energy and a lot of fun. They are awesome.....
"2Cellos were a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. Signed to Sony Masterworks in 2011, they released six albums. The duo played instrumental arrangements for cellos of well-known pop and rock songs, as well as classical and film music."
Have to wait for a reunion tour as they parted ways a few years back...missed the farewell tour, but lucky enough to see them in concert years ago. They were not just talented, but put on a great concert. A all ages shows as saw everyone from young adults to those that definitely could have seen AC/DC when the first toured. They were good showman and such a range of rock to a beautiful classical piece Need to pull up some videos of them again.
They definitely do this live and it is everything you want it to be
You gotta show this guy two accordians playing Through the Fire and the Flames
2Cellos are: Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, both men are Croatian, and have released 6 albums since 2011 when they signed with Sony Masterworks. A shout out to Krizz!!! Love ya Buddy!! Thanks again for Unstable... It's helped me soooo much. Black as always spot on!!! Peace and love to you both and your families!!!
Watch their concert in Verona, it's mind blowing
Legends the lads r rockstars now I watched a concert wher they played in a Colosseum an packed full of chick's an they added a drummer which was pretty awesome
I've wanted to see these guys for a while. They should still be around, it's only been a few years since I tried but they weren't coming near here unfortunately.
Love 2 Cello
I love these talented cellists so much! I play the violin and this warms my heart!! this is fire! Also the start with very classical music and morphing into this rock classic is just sooo clean! ❤❤
I love this classic
So much fun to watch the two of you react to this
2Cellos are from Croatia. All you see, they do live as well as here. They have live videos. You should react to live cover of Nirvana's Smells like teen spirit.
Yes these guys did tour with this.
If you haven't... please listen to black violin. They are amazing!!!
These guys are amazing!
They both as children asked parents for musical instruments because they wanted to be rock stars. They were both mortified when their parents presented them with cellos! They attended Music schools in different countries crossed paths and decided to do this!!
