    ? I has a Pet Scan last month. After the Tracer was injected, I sat for only fifteen minutes before being tested? This seems very odd?

    I had this done years ago 🙀 and the one who made a new 🆕 equipment for the PET 🐕🐶 scan on my spine and it is a little bit of a real nice picture 😁 and I felt better about it but I got a real honest person that told me I'm not faking it and not us disabled people have doctors who are medical gaslighters saying its all in your head.

    Video is focusing on basic things, but people looking for deep theory of PET, i am looking for theoretical (deep technical) theory, but your video showing only candy and bla bla bla ☹️

    I had a PET scan recently and they lady that injected me with the radioactive tracer didn't use a 10th of what they showed in this video. It almost looked like she didn't use any at all. What is the normal amount of tracer used? I can't find anything online that shows an image or video other than this one.

      We inject between 150 and 250 MBq (Mega Becquerel) activity tracer, its about 1-2ml solution... depends on body weight: weight in kg x3 = activity in MBq

    Can one have a sedative for the procedure? And what if common sedatives like Benzodiazepines cease to work? - Will have a FDG PET Scan in order to confirm/outrule Fatal (familial) insomnia. No joke :(

    This is misleading, the side effects are but not limited too:
    Side effects are including nausea, vomiting, headache, itching, flushing, and mild rash. In rare cases, a serious, all-body allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis may occur.

      not all nuclear exams.

    • @THyperon
      @THyperon ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not from the radioactive tracer. Those sideaffects CAN happen if you get iodine contrast agent for the CT scan too, but they are very rare. If patients tell us they already had reactions, we give antihistamin before the examination.
