Great stuff! Seen lots of house wiring, but the way you handle the big stuff is new and awesome. Hey for mounting flat items on uneven surfaces, short lengths' of ~1/2" PVC conduit as standoffs can be your friend. If it's a _really_ uneven surface, you can put work gloves on, make them soft with a heat gun and press them on the surface to get any shape needed.
A tip from a Canadian , after fitting the flex put a string through it to pull with . Then finish putting it together . Use the string to pull wires . I never use metal tape around panels or transformers . Be safe pretty girl .
Great job on the video and the electrical work. What else is good about these types of videos is it tells the story of what goes on behind the scenes at these commercial businesses. Thanks again.
I feel like the 'Insta360 Go 3' camera would be perfect for your on the go content. It takes 16:9 and 9:16 footage at the same time. Great video, I understand why this work is worth the value.
That was awesome! I love the extended vids!! I know they're much more work on your end but they're quite interesting. Shit man, I'd watch your live stream too if you'd do one from a job site. You don't even have to narrate it. Just stream it live while you're working. Big Rig Travels is a channel on YT and he's a trucker that streams every hour of his work day, except when he's at the shipper or getting loaded. He will literally do like 11 hours of streaming and there are hundreds of people that watch that!! hahah I'm one of them and love it. I just find electrical work so fascinating.
2:13. Keep a stock pile of double ended 1/8" drill bits. Peanuts compared to a new uni-bit, and it's only the very center that really takes a beating anyway.
I have a safety question.... would you cover the mains incomer terminals with a screen in future? I know its unlikely.... but a stray wire or snake could hit a live terminal and the result wouldn't be pretty.... I remember taking big metal covers off of main switchboards exposing 400V busbars carrying a lot of amperes.... one slip and I/we would have been history.... no flash protection or nothing.... wouldn't be allowed these days... was decades ago.... Stay safe and keep the video's comin..... very interesting Regards from an Ex New Zealand Sparky
Amazing post Lex great job editing n putting everything together in a rad TH-cam. As always your work ethic n talent is bad ass keep up the hardwork ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Helped with a demolition job of Sam the Record Man, downtown, turning into a Multi-tech, and a fight broke out between two street vendors selling shirts. One even pulled a knife out. And then the fight rolled into the zone we were working in. With broken florescent tubes. And me and my co-worker and buddy had to stop the fight. Because you get cut by that broken glass, it makes it tough for the blood to stop. I always feel safe, like a Slavic Viking Warrior, every time I strap my saddle on, nice and safe, with a trusty well made hammer by my side. And why we promote no fighting on the job.
Remember my first snake! I thought I'd died and went to heaven! Even though I learned your advice very quickly about making the connection to snake end! Yea! Had to redo a couple pulls on first try!

Just wondering if I misunderstood that she said the code does not allow line & load conductors in the same raceway. Usually that only applies to wires on utility company metering. All drive manufacturers tell you to always use a separate conduit for the feed ( line ) and output( load ) but its not a NEC requirement. I installed a 4 pole 7 day timer and only used 3 of the poles to control Christmas lights. Ran 3 line wires, 3 load wires ,a neutral for the clock motor and a ground wire all inside a 6' piece of EMT. Would pass inspection every time. On drives that produced DC for a DC motor we always keep the AC line wires in a separate conduit from the DC wires.
Its always nice to have someone to talk crap to all day on a job. Especially when its family and you can do things they or other guys can't, at least very easily. LOL ( damm my big ol meat hook hands)
Those screws are difficult to install in those lights. Those are Topaz lights. We get those from Graybar. You have to line up the bracket just right. On the time clock they are called "Trippers" on the clock face for the lights to turn ON and OFF.
I hope you’re great. Excellent and very well job. Safety first. I hope those electrical panel are out of power because you expose yourself a lot. Be careful
Awesome work! If I may suggest, Have you tried Simpson Strong Titen screws? compared to Tapcons, these screws are life changers! they used to be at Home Depot, but I think Lowes got them exclusively now... but they are really good screws IMO. Anyways, I love your videos! keep doing your thing
You guys, should really take a look at KNX in the states. We switch on at dawn the off at specific time, back on the next morning and back off at dusk. Set and forget, saves money too. Splicing wires in panels is not allowed in Europe (Netherlands)
Most Vfd manufacturers will require line/load in separate conduit. Other than that 230.7 says service conductors cant be in the same conduit as other conductors but that wouldnt apply here. It could be some kind of local code.
Lexi is such a smart hard worker. Her brain is HUGE! She knows how to work to code, but her practical way of getting around problems is so smart. To add to this, she's concerned about her bottom line and the customers. Elon Musk needs to find a way to clone her.
Code says you can't have fused and unfused conductors in the same conduit. I believe that is what you're referencing, unless there is a whacky local rule.
The only thing that is pain in the ass is looking at american electric panels :D for me as an german eletrician its always like "wtf they are doing???!!" but i know that american engeneering is like throwing junk to the yard, so nevermind, you got to work with that crap and you are doing a great job then. Also you are a cutie, if you ever want to marry a nice electrician from germany, let me know! :P
I know there are so many single women who live along that would benefit from watching your channel just so they could know how the wires in their house are connected. There are too many electricians who 'd try to get by with cheating because they assume the single mom doesn't know the first thing about an electrical hookup.
Generally, but there are exceptions. The white wire in a cable assembly may be re-purposed as an ungrounded conductor, as long as it is identified as such where accessible.
Seems like everything we once knew about GE is gone. Didn't know TED/THED was discontinued, but I heard the Spectra line has been eliminated. ABB might have good product, but their documentation and website is absolutely horrible. I would never seek out ABB at this point.

Great work as usual Lexi! I also enjoy your long format videos. I appreciate all of your hard work, both electrical and editing.
I am amazed how knowledgeable you are at such a young age.

Young lady may life always keep you extraordinary
You are such a badass chicken! I've got male apprentices that don't work half as hard as you. Taking that giant dead front off like a boss
I hope that you and your family are chillin somewhere or doing something nice for yourselves this weekend. Hit hard again on Tuesday morning

Great job on the video and the electrical work.
What’s life with a sibling without bickering. It just wouldn’t be as fun.
Great Video. Good Job and Nice Work. Thank you for sharing
Here in Montreal Canada we phase red, black, blue. I find lots of discontinued breackers, panels, disconnects used in very good condition
Remember my first snake! I thought I'd died and went to heaven! Even though I learned your advice very quickly about making the connection to snake end! Yea! Had to redo a couple pulls on first try!
That was the largest pair of A frames I have ever seen!!!!

I was just in aww the whole time didn't hear a word I'm crushing on you bad such an awesome woman
Keep up the good work. Working and filming and editing is no joke. I personally don't mind the vertical video change half away thought a video.
Ohh I remember having the same tapcon argument with my boss too :)
Its always nice to have someone to talk crap to all day on a job. Especially when its family and you can do things they or other guys can't, at least very easily. LOL ( damm my big ol meat hook hands)
Can you do a short video of how was the process as a apprenticeship?
Muy Importante!!!

That's pretty damn cool.
PPE and ladder safety is Paramount.🌹

So why not photovoltaic instead of timer? I'd think daylight throughout the seasons would make the timer inefficient.
That'd mean running either another strand of wire, or sensors on each light; one timer in one location is cheap, simple and adjustable easily enough.
You could have photocell in one location control any number of lights without extra wire
@@M1k4e Yes, and both the cell and the wire are cheap-ish but the time to install them is not.
The customer didn’t want dawn to dusk he wanted them on at specific hours so the photocell in this case would keep them on too long
You guys, should really take a look at KNX in the states.

Mike Rowe should interview this young lady.
You go thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video 😊
What code article says line and load cant be in same conduit? Ive done that for 20 years, never been called on it!
Yeah I'm with you, Isn't that only for services?
Good job and Great video 😊
Rogue from Xmen became an elecitrician
I never catch any accents coming from you. Til you say off. 😂. Uawwff
white neals?? You are one tough cookie! lol
Good job and looking lovely lady 💜
What code requirement says you can’t have line and load in the same conduit? Never heard that one. Enjoy your videos!
I’m trying to figure that out myself I’ve been doing commercial jobs hella wrong
This is the second time I have heard that as well. Gotta find that in the code book for sure
@@MountaineerOutdoors I don’t think it exists
@@GorillaStunter I’ve heard a lot of misinterpreted and non existent code articles in my 27 years.
I never knew about the line/load conduit share. Is that NEC (reference?) or local?
Yeah that was a new one on me too.
Most Vfd manufacturers will require line/load in separate conduit. Other than that 230.7 says service conductors cant be in the same conduit as other conductors but that wouldnt apply here. It could be some kind of local code.
@@Nordeast763 Off the top of my head, VFD might produce some changing magnetic field that would interfere/get interfered with the other conductors.
It’s my local jurisdiction they require 2 separate raceways! I’ve heard other places are different tho!

Very hard worker
Nice work !! Love the video !!
I so dislike GE panels. Covers are just a pain.
I have that ladder its great
Lexi, when using the bigger unibit, i start initial hole with smaller unibit and it seems to go easier on the larger hole
They were already a mess, don't come for me. 🤣
You're awesome
I didn't think she could get anymore tools on her right hip, then the drill showed up and joined the party.

It was the Milwaukee sds rotary hammer drill

What kind of cooler was that? Artic cooler?
What an absolute babe. Wish you lots of businesss
Do you ever have a problem with the on and off stops I have had a problem with them not tripping and become loose

Great job 👍, I follow u on TikTok and now I'm over here, New Sub
you some information me you use the cable and neutral in the neutral cable black ya blue use the cable who use the cable
What code says u cant share line and load in same conduit?
Why dont you use that automatic snake that you got from milwaukee
Not true line and load can be in the same conduit. Where you can’t have line and load is a service conduit.
NY local Code?
It’s not not true it’s also determined by jurisdiction and my personal inspector would fail it.
you look like the new apex character
