I had one of these, exact same year and 175cc. At age 16, it served as my off-road bike from late 2001-2002. I've had a KE100, XL185, PE175, KX250, KDX200 but the honda 175 was my favorite of the bunch. Thanks to it, my current bike is an XR650L..love those honda thumpers. Thanks for showing this bike.
My dad had a 75 Honda XL175, It was insanely reliable, it had the orange and black tank and silver guards, it didn't have a petrol cap breather, and the original exhaust was a french bread stick style that was low slung ending near the rear axle. Such a nice relaxing bike to ride. It was still a great bike when he sold it twenty years later.

My first dirt bike was a 1976 Honda XL 125. That thing was a tank rode it for year's. They are great built bike's.

I still own my 1978 Honda xl175 I ride it like 4 times a week it never fails to put a smile on my face

My neighbor bought this bike in 78 and rode it home, let me ride it with 14 miles. I rode it to my GF's house, only she lived 60 miles away🤣😂🤣😂
