      @@PowerStruggle555false, some jurisdictions can in fact investigate some minors without parental consent (age depends on justification). There are other jurisdiction that are even worse where the parents don't even need to be informed about the interrogation until after it's completed. It's jacked up, but it happens.
      Edit: ok I was wrong about not informing the parents. But the police very well interrogate a child along as they inform the parents first.

    The first time a neighbor B's at me out about mowing their lawn is the LAST time I mow their lawn. I have many other things to do other than stand around and be berated.

    I was working doubles, seven days a week, back in the mid '80s. The idiot manager decided that I had to make a pot of coffee every morning, before I left. I made it once. I cleaned the glass pot, then I touched the top of the bottle of Dawn dish washing soap. I smeared that inside to pot. and made his damned coffee. He had a brain dead grin, thinking that he'd won. He took a mouthful, and spit it across the room, before starting to scream and curse. I just shrugged. "I told you that I don't drink coffee, and I've never made a pot of it." I was told to never make another pot! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Bag of bagels and one morning got some sausage patties in the skillet and go to throw a bagel in the toaster and noticed something move in the bag. A giant black spider running around in the bag.

    4:49 Sadly, I have a little bit of disbelief at the story from this point onwards as any police officer that asks a 16-year-old to go down with their parent to the police station is just opening themselves to be sued into oblivion.

    13:00 OP is just being a smart alec trying to cover the fact that he has poor judgement and giving his car to his GF to drive is one of the worst things he has done recently. He must be really besotted with her. Love is truly blind. She starts the car and hits TWO PARKED CARS? What if she missed them and did worse later with another moving vehicle? Or ran over a kid who escaped from his mom?

    The story about the checkout person fearing spiders. Checkout person really should be dismissed of their position.

    • @jorgecarreras4214
      @jorgecarreras4214 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you want the store to risk a legal nightmare? Firing someone with a disability for the disability? That's what OP will claim in court, unless the store can definitively prove she tampered with the scale, it's too big a risk.

      Please explain why you feel she should be fired.

    • @jorgecarreras4214
      @jorgecarreras4214 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jamiepatterson1214 In one word, fraud. By messing with the scale by putting her thumb on it, she's cheating the customer and putting the entire store in legal jeopardy. Of course, she has to be caught, but if she is, that's more than enough just cause.

    • @jamiepatterson1214
      @jamiepatterson1214 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jorgecarreras4214 Thank you for explaining.
      Unless the store has employees running out of their ears, if she was seen putting her thumb on the scale, it would be better to talk with that person and caution them not to do it again.
      If, on the other hand, that person has a store record of problems, then termination should be considered.
      The initial cause should have been stopped the minute it started. No customer, employee, or anyone, has the right to denigrate anybody. Had a manager stepped on Karen the minute she started her little show, there would be no discussion right now.
      A manager has a responsibility to stand up for the people working at that business. They could have made a bad decision that upset a customer, but a manager still needs to stand behind them. Then, talk with that employee and straighten out whatever problem occurred.
      And if a customer is being an arse? Show them the door, pure and simple.
