have you read Tress of the emerald sea yet? in my eyes it’s definitely cozy fantasy, and the “magic” system is so interesting and unique! you’ve probably either already read it or have heard of it but it’s like a retelling of the princess bride where buttercup rescues westley, but it’s SO much more than that! It became of of my favorite books ever and helped me find my new favorite writer, brandon sanderson - i literally could not read anything else bc i was so obsessed with the story and I’ve been consistently reading nothing but Brandon Sanderson and Marissa Meyer for months now 😭
Ooh good to know about a lighthearted cozy manga😊 I’ll be reading that for sure. I’m reading Bookshops & Bonedust and I’m loving it so much! It’s so heartwarming
I read skip and loafer recently and I fell completely in love with it, it’s so cozy and makes you feel happy to be alive and full of hope! there’s also the apothecary diaries and beyond journey’s end which I want to read next and they’re similar to the manga mentioned in the video!
I really enjoy how you pronounce encyclopedia, it’s the best. I’m reading Map of the Otherlands and it has the same vibes as the first book. So far very enjoyable. Thank you for all the book recommendations, I have read many of the books you have mentioned and have enjoyed most of them. ❤❤
😷 I’m home sick and your video is a good distraction to make me feel better! I’d seen Dowry of Blood around but your review and commentary makes it sound more up my alley and I think I might just have to read it now 🧛
Your editing is so amazing!! I really started appreciating editing more since I made my own channel, love this so much!! You’re videos are always so cosy ❤❤
A favourite recent read is Das Kaufhaus der Träume (I think the english title is something like dallergut department store of dreams) by mi-ye lee. It's a wonderful exploration of the subconscious and how we deal with grief and difficulties but also excitement and love; it really is a beautiful read. Sort of fairytaleespue as well, I'd say. Highly recommend.
Days late (thank you internet bills...) but thank you for the new recs! Definitely adding the novellas to my TBR. Some of my favorite reads recently were The Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler (god it was scary how close it seems we are to that future...), Middlegame and Seasonal Fears by Seanan McGuire (even if SF wasn't as good as Middlegame, the writing is still *chefs kiss*), Honey & Spice by Bolu Babalola (the only romance I've ever LOVED), and the Black Girls Must Die Exhausted trilogy by Jayne Allen.
Omg someone else likes Silver in the Wood! It's such an underrated magical woodsy book. And it's gay! ❤ haha I haven't read the sequel, I haven't heard good things about it compared to the first book, it seems it's really different vibe. But maybe I'll check it out.
I loved Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries and look forward to the sequel. I agree Emily and Wendall do give off Bones and Booth energy. I ordered The Bodyguard based on your recommendation. ☀🌷🌼🌸🌈
Just finished reading Wicked and absolutely loved it. I'd never seen the play or really known what it was about and I loved getting more lore on the characters in The Wizard of Oz world
I recently read Emily Wildes Encyclopaedia of Faeries based on your recommendations. Loved it so much, cannot wait to pick up the next book 🧚🏻♀️ If you like cozy horror, I would recommend checking out Darcy Coates. She had a lot of great cozy horror books 👻
Wendell also reminded me of Howl and Howls moving castle is my fave does anyone have more recommendations like this!! I’ve heard sorcery of thorns a lot but I can’t get past the first 10% idk why is it worth pushing through?
So happy to finally hear someone talk about Silver and The Wood and Drowned Country! They're such wholesome stories.
same! I loved them.
Added Silver in the Wood and Drowned Country to my TBR 🌱

Dear Leora, just found your channel, and I like it very much :) Can you, please, include list of books you mentioned in description of video? Thanks.
I just requested Silver and the Wood and Drowned Country from my library!
Master of One has been removed and included on my TBR for almost a year!😂
Love these recommendations! Also, off topic but what lipstick are you wearing? I love that colour!
it's Glossier's Leo (mixed with some darker eyeshadow patted on haha) !
This vid took me about 30 mins to get through as i had to keep going to storygraph to add books hahah
Hahahahahahaha slay

As you should be 🥰
