Love how evveryone sidesteps so that they won't fall off but Tails is just casually walking on top off the Tornado like it's everyday routine😂 Love these special stages man
I find searching for the hidden Chao in Sonic Advance 3 more difficult than trying to clear Special Stages and obtaining the 7 Chaos Emeralds. Speaking of, this game was something I enjoyed playing. I also enjoyed playing the Extra Zone, "Nonaggression".
It is very hard to find the Chao's. You have to search high and low. The best team to do the job is Knuckles & Tails. And yes, the True final boss is a blast to play.
What I hate about these games is that even after the hard as balls special stages, the player cannot become Super Sonic in normal levels like in the classics.
I checked a sprite ripper website for this game's sprites of Amy... And the rumors were true Amy flashes her underwear when going through the blue boost sections in the Special Stage
This game's Special Stages are a strong contender for the worst Special Stages in the Sonic series. I'd rather have the Sonic 2 Special Stages featured in every 2D Sonic game going forth than the ones in this game. The stages themselves are already bad enough, as because of the low depth perception and dark graphics on the Game Boy Advance, combined with how horrible the controls are, and because you can't get to the other side of the screen fast enough, you're going to miss Rings. But the method of actually getting into the Special Stages is what makes them even worse. The first thing you have to do is find ten Chao in a Zone, and not only can the Chao be well hidden, the levels are extremely overexpansive and terribly designed. But that's not enough, because now you need to find a Special Key, which is also hidden in these levels, which, once again, are overexpansive and poorly designed, making finding the Key nearly impossible. And you can't just exit the level with the Key, you actually have to beat the level first. Talk about incredibly picky. Finally, go to the hub world to find a Special Spring that takes you to the Special Stage. But that isn't the worst part. The worst part is that if you lose, you once again have to go into the same oversized levels in order to get another Key.
I can debunk this in so many ways that my head could spin off at any moment. The point isn't to get EVERY ring - it's to get enough rings. If you COULD get every ring - you'd never lose unless they put a bs amount of obstacles on screen - and then you'd have something new to complain about. The depth persception is fine, as is the brightness, which you can change on the title screen. There are 3 levels of brightness. And please don't compare the depth of field to that of the Sonic 2 stages, where the objects dont even consistently spawn at the same distance. And yes, finding all the chao is a task, but finding the keys afterward is not - the spawn at the start of the stage most of the time - and the keys only have 3 places they spawn, and if you lose a life the spawn points will be reduced to the ones that you havent passed yet. -By the way, you don't need to complete a level after finding a chao. You can leave the Act and it will be in the garden. Honestly, your problems can easily be solved by just playing on a DS or an emulator.
@@theinktician Good job debunking my theory. I must not have tried them myself, because I haven't played the Sonic Advance series, so I'm probably basing my statements on what others say.
@@eddiesilver8804 That's the main problem with Sonic Advance 2's Special Stages. That game has one of the worst ways of accessing the Special Stages, considering there are seven Special Rings to find. The Special Stages themselves are very easy if you know what you're doing.
@@eddiesilver8804 I beat every Advance 2 special stage in 2 tries (first try in the case of the first 5 stages) I have already spent 6 attempts on the 7th here and it's so bad. I would rather play nothing but Advance 2 special stages forever than Advance 3 special stages one more time
Ahhh, I loved how each character has their own unique celebration when they get the emerald, I've always been a fan of details like these
MacBeth is better

Beautiful call back to sonic 2 with the special stage objective with the plane gimmick
I collected 9 keys for the 7th special stage and couldnt get past the first half. Im 30 years old. How TF did they expect kids to beat this?!?!

That's what really sucks. It'd be kind of worth it, if it was possible.
@@cliffturbo2146at least we will get to do so in sonic advance revamped
I’m still having a hard time with the purple chaos emerald in zone 7. I have all of them except the 7th emerald.
Same here
@@sekousoumahoro3900 You still have this video game.
Oh so you did it the day before my birthday
Guess I did.
Why does no one jumping on the gray enemies? They give you 5 rings..
Holy shit thats gonna help me a lot with this last stage. Thx so much for saying this!!
I haven’t gotten a SINGLE key yet, and I just beat the entire game today.
I’ve literally had the game for a full year.
You ever collected the chao in the stages?
Yeah, you need all of them in a zone/world just to get even so much as *one* key.
I did in Route 99, but nowhere else. I looked it up shortly after commenting this.
You need to collect chao before getting to the special stage.
0:11 Special stage 1: Red Chaos emerald ❤️
2:08 Special stage 2: Blue Chaos emerald 💙
4:10 Special stage 3: Yellow Chaos emerald 💛
6:20 Special stage 4: Green Chaos emerald 💚

13:02 Special stage 7: Purple Chaos emerald 💜
Now you can turn into Hyper Sonic!
Sweet!
I hate 6 and 7, them Mario bullet bills almost always get me and also I find it easier to control when boosting in these special stages
The Special Stage 7 is the only one I had most trouble with, but I see what ya mean. The Dimps Sonic games does have some brutal game designs.
Hit the one that shoots the bullets bill you get extra rings
@@vins2030 I know that now, the special stages look easier because I found out how dimps want you to play the past two.
