Some dirtbags removed many of the rocks when I visited 4 years ago alongside other acts of vandalism and littering. If you want to see the few remaining "racing" rocks you have to head to the south of the playa. Place is huge I'm sure there's others somewhere. I'm very impressed you did this in a camper van with street tires.
Drones are not allowed in National Parks. Zabriskie Point, one of the most beautiful locations in the park, "just a little lookout" that gets about 15 seconds of footage. Makes the trip out to the Racetrack and doesn't even go to the area where the rock tracks are.
The road was a little soft in many areas so weight might be an issue. My biggest worry would be if something goes wrong out there, you are on your own. No cell service and little to no traffic coming through if you do need help.
Sadly no. I think very few people make the journey down that road. We will probably do this again at another location. Nathan saw this type of thing on another channel and always wanted to try!

Oh ya. We saw all kinds of tire tracks on the playa. The road really wasn't too bad though. Just a bit rocky.
That road is bumpy.
Hope Enterprise Rental won't find out about taking their moving van offroad. LOL

Do you think a 25 foot class c could make it there? They really try to scare you away.
