I don't remember drinking much water as a kid either, and I was always outside(never wore sunscreen either!) I think I would stop playing for 2 minutes and chug down water from the hose, but my Mom never seemed concerned about my hydration. These days, none of us leave the house without toting a water bottle along. Your Mom's house is blast from the past!

The water hose😂 During Summer you would have to let it run for a little bit because I’d be hot when you first turn it on. Fun days.

Just a quick thank you Mindy; you inspired an appetizer that I made for our big family Mother’s Day celebration. I combined Buffalo chicken dip with rotisserie chicken, pepper jack cheese and extra Buffalo wing sauce, rolled the mixture into corn tortillas and baked at 375 ° until crispy. Made 2 large sheet pans of them and we had zero left over. Huge hit! Thanks again and hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day 😊

I absolutely loved seeing all the 80s and 90s nostalgia!!! I was born in 79 and I remember everything you showed!!! My dad used to make our lunch boxes too. We had fruit roll ups, chips in a fold over plastic sandwich baggie, a juice box that literally had zero juice-like the Hi-C and of course we had a sandwich but he always made it on whole wheat. I loved how your mom kept all of you and your siblings favorite toys. I think we declutter so much these days and forget that some things such as childhood toys are ok to keep if it is meaningful to you. It can bring pure joy to our kids when they see what we played with as kids. I know all my hot wheels and micro machines (I liked playing those with my older brother) have been passed down to my boys and they loved them and appreciated them. We also have our original Nintendo that came with Mario bro 1 and duck hunt. Wow this brought back so many great memories for me. Thank you!!! (Sorry I know I’m posting this 85 years after it was uploaded but I got behind on my TH-cam videos after attending a sales conference for a week.)

This was so much fun to see! I had a similar keyboard & homemade cabbage patch dolls (my sister was lucky enough to have a real one though). Oregon Trail was the best!! Growing up, we didn't drink much water either, except in the summer when my Mom would put ice water in a Coleman 2 gallon water jug and leave it on the counter for all of my siblings & neighborhood kids to help themselves. I do that now, too, which seems to help my kids drink more water. Thanks for a fun video!

The cabbage patch dolls, Nintendo and Barbie car!!
What gets me, is that chicken dinner, all of this time, I thought I was the only one created that…I would throw in some artichoke hearts (which I thought were fancy) and pepper strips and a touch of 🍋 and called it “chicken Athena” but we’re Italian and I thought “look at me making fancy chicken for my mom & dad” 😝 So much
fun going down memory lane with you!!!

Thanks for explaining what your channel name was all about, I've always wondered about that. Wow, that Apple computer is still in great shape. I've seen several TH-cam channels devoted to older computer "stuff," I bet it's worth some serious money for your parents! Fun trip down memory lane.

I adore this nostalgia video. I had three cabbage patch kids, including a cornsilk girl. I loved them so much. My mom didn't keep mine though.
