Hi LimoZina, I agree with you, and I also remember Jean luc driving his BX in the rallycross round brands hatch (not 💯% certain) but I certainly do remember Jean luc driving his Citroen XM there and hope had a hub failure on one of the corners. However when I said that it was a popular car, I actually was referring to the road car and and in particular the estate, as with the clever suspension system I can see why .
I think that this kind of car could've had success in longer rallies, where reliability and ruggedness would've been important (Safari, Greece, Ivory Coast etc). Afterall, it had bulletproof engine, but the suspension couldn't take the stress due the clunky 4-wheel drive and weigh distribution. They should've left the completition in fast rallies for others, who had much more specialized cars.
Had Group B carried on,Im sure this car would have evolved with less weight and adjustable 4wd and more power.Maybe the way the quattro sport went and cut out the wheelbase too!Still awesome though.
Nekem volt 1,9 GTi 16V BX-em, Ausztriából hoztam be alkatrészenként és itthon ráépítettem egy kiégett BX papírjaira. Nagyon szerettem. Bár túl erős volt szerintem a tömegéhez képest.
It had no centrall differential. Snow is more forgiving for this setup. But on the road and less slippery surfaces, the transmission will have to endure much more stress, and worser results..and it did.
This was just stupid, what were they thinking...front heavy, long nose turd with low power, bad diffs, wrong 4x4 ratio (front/back). If they only had made it RIGHT... i have BX gti, great daily driver
Citroen’s BX was a popular car but it is a shame that the BX4TC never went on to be a great rally car. !
BX and BX 4TC didnt had much in common. There was succesfull BX, and it was BX 2000 Rallycross version from Jean-Luc Pailler. Its still alive.

What a beautiful car ❤
Unique Citroen.😍
An innovative idea ruined by an underpowered engine mounted in the front, and no centre diff.
You are forgetting that it also was a lot heavier then it's competitors.
@aaaabababa yeah this thing also doesn't seem to zoom around as quickly as the others as well.
All the footage I see of this car, it’s always in snow
Because it was in rally Sweden, one of the few times the car finished the rally and it was their best result in the championship.

lol at the understeer
👍👍👍
la suspension était au TOP, mais pas la voiture.
from 4,10 it is not sweden but monte-carlo i think and know. Think it through before you send it please!
:)
Can i have one of these cars please?
Yes, but it will cost you more than brand new supersport with double power :D
Can you please post the titles of the music in the video? Thanks.
It’s “Negotiation’s Over” by Ogre Sound

Exactly
That's great, fantastic input. I'm sure you'd have been monumental in turning the tides.
