I don't get why people are still upset. They actually listened to us and changed the progression and loot box systems to benefit both of us.

Still remember the hype around this game. Sad it turned out the way it did. But fingers crossed that if we'll ever get Battlefront III the game will not repeat mistakes made by this game debut.

This game was comming out of a fucked up launch, comming back with a lot of love from the devs and was a completly succesful game with the epicevent to give it free to everyone
But by god the new players need to learn how to hold an objective

Pretty sad, now that it went free on Epic Games, everyone is loving it. Wish it'd continue getting new content or they're working on Battlefront 3 with big improvements.
This game had a very rough start but it blossomed into a brilliant game. It’s such a shame we will never get more content but I know one day there will be another Battlefront game and I hope whoever makes it won’t make the same mistakes at launch. RIP Battlefront 2 ♥️

To all the people complaining about the lootbox system;
I played the alpha for 20~ hrs and here is what I found from the crates:
-You could get 1-3 crates per game fairly easily, so people who pay for crates wont have too much of an advantage.
-Legendary cards give unnoticeable buffs, I didnt see anyone using a legendary to kick everyone elses ass.
-If paying to upgrade an item is implemented, you can still directly upgrade it through spending (free) crafting parts.
Please read this before instantly hating the game

Mr. Mcmuffin they took a lot of the mechanics and character models from the first game to shape it into the second one. To my knowledge, they began production of Battlefront 2 just after the release of the first one.

Droid Control ships are leaving the planet surface post republic invasion of Geonosis.
Republic ground forces must coordinate a simultaneous offensive to stop the launch.
*Phase 1: Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery Walkers are pinned down by heavy geonosian fire.
CLONES===> (SPHA-T) wont move until Clones clear the area of geonosian and destroy all LR1K Sonic Cannon targeting walkers.
DROIDS===> assist the Geonosian; SPHAT will have a radius around it that if certain # of enemies breach, (SPHA-T) will stop moving (pinned down) become more susceptible to damage. The more droids in radius; more damage can be done to walkers. (think of it as a moving king of the hill)
*Phase 2: Escort the SPHATs to firing coordinates.
CLONES===> Allow for continued safe passage of the (2) artillery walkers to enter targeting range of droid control ships.
DROIDS===> similar to first phase: keep up pressure; target and destroy the walkers.
*Phase 3: SPHA-T Have reached the targeting area.
(Control ship can be seen taking off, slowly rising overhead and casting a shadow on the battlefront below)
CLONES===> Are now on the defensive; must hold the line till laser barrage from SPHA-T is ready to fire.
each walker will fire 2x so total of 4 shots must be fired to take out control ship.
DROIDS===> When SPHA-T charging/reloading turbolasers, walkers are most vulnerable, droids must push forwards and do as must damage to SPHA-T as possible.
*Control ship shot down= Republic victory/CIS defeat*
(Cinematic shows multiple control ships being shot down and crash back to planet surface)
*Loss of both SPHA-Ts or Control ship leaves planet = CIS victory / Republic defeat*
(Cinematic shows SPHA-Ts exploding and geonosian starfighters doing strafing runs ground targets)

Unfortunately, DICE just said that offline won't even have Space battles or Heroes.v.Villains or anything. Just 10 v 10 on a couple different maps. Fucking hell man, I was so excited to hear that I could actually do space battles now, my internet is too garbage for multiplayer so I couldn't do them in the first Battlefront. And now.... They won't be in this game either. FML.

I wonder if the 10 vs 10 offline mode will even have vehicles in this one? The last one couldn't seem to manage that. Leave out the aerial combat and vehicles, and this will still only be a cheap and nasty imitation of Instant Action with purty graphics.
My internet has a speed of max 0.5 MB and i can still play quit well. How slow is your Internet?
