But there's definitely money involved. If you want to see football without almost no money involved, go to the lowest tiers of non-league football _(how they're called in Britain)._
I sometimes get a chance to watch lower division clubs play here in the States on beIN Sports. Love the the smaller stadiums, action, and atmosphere. Sad that Longford didn't have better attendance or a raucous supporter's section when you attended that game. Surprised they had VAR!
Me and my friends just played something we ended up naming the "Tard Challenge" tonight. Our least talented at FIFA friend got extremely drunk and we let him play with Soccer Aid while the rest of us took turns playing with Longford Town against him. He won about six games, drew two, and only lost one. I don't think any of us have laughed that much in one night in years and fun was had by all. Highly recommend. 10/10

Come on the Town! We used to be one of the best League of Ireland teams believe it or not. But after going into liquidation,points being taken off us and then being relegated it's been a battle to get promoted and then stay in the premier division. Back 15-20 years ago the stands used to be packed when in the premier division winning leagues and FAI cups while also being in with a chance of qualifying for Europe the club slowly died off and ran out of both money and passion

They got relegated from the worst league in the game (or 2nd worst, English League Two might in general be the worst) at the end of the season they had rated themselves the worst, so they absolutely nailed it. Could also be lack of confidence but maybe I should start supporting Longford Town.
Me and Longford have beef, fifa 22 I manage Longford to their 3 back to back titles, and somehow beat celtic in the playoffs to make to the cl, the board sack me after bombing out to Liverpool barca and inter because they thought I should make it to the quarter finals. My best player was 72 rated and because the league was so poor anyone above 71 wouldn't join because the league wasn't competitive enough. Now I'm with Waterford trying to take down the beast I created out of pure spite before moving to a bigger league
Interesting thing about those changing rooms indeed. In the USA a stadium with those changing rooms wouldn't be allowed to join certain leagues, where most leagues in the USA sports system are required to have the same facilities and accomodations in both the Home and Away changing rooms. In the NCAA league system, stadiums are even required to have both changing rooms painted the same color.
