I wonder if CnD knew they were writing a timeless classic when they were penning this little beauty.
Elio's piano style is so groovy.
He will make you dance just with a drummer..
wonderful tribute to the great duo
Superb. Wonderful composition.
Oh dear, absolutely fantastic version of this song! Goosebumps for 4:19 min! Thanks for this great clip! What a singer and pianist!
What about the song itself ? Brilliant
The best ever song by Chas and Dave, written in partnership. forever a London song
I always loved Chas & Dave for the way they played purely to entertain and they always seemed like they enjoyed it! As well as writing his own songs, Elio brings his own interpretation to other people's songs, (Billy Joel's songs being a good example) and like Chas & Dave, really looks like he is having a great time playing and performing. Check out Elio's albums if you like well crafted songs played by great musicians.

Elio,
Finally saw your version of 'Ain't No Pleasin' You'. You done a grand job. Really good arrangement retaining the flavour but doing it your way. Did you do the arrangement? Same goes for your vocal & piano. Some of your own bits came from within & sounded good. Only one criticism. You over did the cockney in the 'bluffin' bit. But you can be forgiven for that. The rest made up for it!
Chas
Amazing!!
@rosarecordsonline It's not everyday that one of your heroes writes to you, let alone with such kind words. I, of course, wrote back to Chas thanking him and on the subject of "bluffin" I said:
"Let me just say about the bluffin' bit... I purposely overdid it as a 'nod' to you guys. Not saying that you sound THAT cockney but I wanted to sing one line as a tribute to you and make it obvious to the listener that I was paying respect to your classic record."
Elio's record label, Rosa Records, received a wonderful email from the living legend himself, Chas Hodges, that we wanted to share with you. One half of the treasured British duo, Chas & Dave, Chas wrote 'Ain't No Pleasing You'.
Because of character limitations here on TH-cam comments, we will post the unedited email in a separate post...

Not bad
Sorry this was painful to watch and the added bit at the end not needed, it started off great but when down hill.

You forgot to say 'In my HUMBLE opinion'.
