LMFAO THAT IS EXCATLY WHAT I EXPECTED, Im not kiddin, that beat in the chorus is the beat that I had in mind, i thought that beat could be the chorus' or the dance break's beat, so I was shocked when I heard the beat... In the pre chorus, and when the chorus kicked in I got shock again coz I wasnt expecting nothing like that, and I loved

A reason I prefer this version: In the original version it goes from a softer chorus to a soft bridge. And in this version they went from a tough loud chorus to a soft bridge. This version has a lot more excitement in the bridge because of that sudden change from tough to soft.

I think when it releases, we are still in shock because it sounds different than any BP song but girl, i now understand why it all makes sense. If you put this kind of beat in the chorus, it sounds messy because when the song starts, it already came out strong so that's why when chorus hits, they kinda made it a little cute and chill so that everything's balanced. As i've listened to it a thousand times now, everything's in place and the combination of the beats are perfect.

they said it would be different from what they've already done. People created expectations with a “Hylt” or “Dddd” style chorus..I honestly loved the “fake drop” chorus on this comeback.

I think because all their songs have such a similar sound (or system/order), fans didn't know what else to expect 🤷♀️
Not only that, but they release songs in such gaps and IN SINGLES (we need more albums) that fans are extra picky with the ones that DO come out....it's going to be harder to please everyone in general with billions of views and fans, let alone when you drift from your known sound after years of sticking to it
If they experimented with different sounds in the past, it wouldn't have been so jarring to people..and PV was hip hop influenced (with the Arabian sounding instrumentals) in the 1st half, but than the bridge and outro drifted back into their typical sound...it couldn't just FULLY be it's own new sound...but it's not too late for them to produce more unique songs now
The last arrangement is genius. The second part hits harder because of the vocal absence in the first part
All the people complaining in the comment section, there’s no different between you and those who complained about Teddy’s non changing formula. Some people like the original, some don’t. Respect that and respect the person who made this version of pink venom.
Maybe take a moment to consider why there are so much more Remixes, Rearranged Versions etc. of Blackpink songs compared to other groups. (It’s the lack of music for the past two years, people are making the most of what we have.)
Personally, I prefer this version. But that does not mean I don’t like the original.

I prefer the anti-drop that the song already has. The rest of the song is dark and heavy hitting and the soft cute chorus really adds balance to the song. And you can also sing a long to it, unlike most blackpink choruses

Now when we can compare two versions I understand why Pink Venom needed anti drop chorus. Verses hit harder and are highlighted this way. But the drop in this version is amazing
The dance break in this version sounds so good. I actually got goosebumps. Good job. Many will prefer the original version, and I understand that. The softness in Jennie's voice in the original chorus hooked me right at the first time. I don't think it can do better than that. But the break doesn't feel as good as this. That's a fact.
My POV: every kpop music video have that kind of chorus like beat on high like blackpink used to have.

It would be a lie to say I didn't expect this kind of beat in their new song, but I think that's the point they were trying to make with this new one. We were starting to expect similar things from their songs. No matter how much we love them. So instead they may have wanted to show that Blackpink can still have the same effect but with a new style. Giving contrast can make even the quieter parts of the song louder. Making the chorus less out there adds the punch line effect, the venom if you will. Humans are complicated and not always strong and loud. Songs can be the same too.
This version still a BOP and empowering. Great job with this.💙

This is exactly what I expected after the teaser. Like I loved the beat and rhythm they gave us in the teaser, like I was literally addicted to that beat.
