For us Europeans is very interesting to see US cities in a normal way, not as a documentary. Dont know if i like Indianapolis or not, seems to me to not have much character but surely is pretty functional ... ty for the free tour !!

I’ve been to some great cities in Europe (Paris, Rome, Strasbourg, Athens) and Indianapolis cannot approach the character and history of those places. However, everyplace can have its own charm, and I was pleasantly surprised as I expecting to be completely bored and unimpressed. Thank you for the comment.

The Totem at 14:21 Mark is where I proposed to my Wife in 1998

It’s an interesting sculpture and apparently a good luck charm for romance. I’ll have to remember that the next time I’m in Indianapolis. I could use a little luck in that department.

I lived in Australia for 15 years, & the Homeless problem was Everywhere! When I returned to live in NZ I was shocked to see how many Zombies were living on the streets…. NZ gets as cold as Canada 🥶
[Just want to Add that here we have Full & Unlimited Social Security, plus tons of Church-run Shelters - these people are mostly ‘Homeless’ by choice or chronic Addiction]

Very interesting. I was ignorant to both the cold weather and Social Security Policies in New Zealand. I did a quick YT search and learned further that you don’t have to pay into (or work) to receive full “NZ SUPER” benefits at age 65. Here in the US, you do have to have a substantial work history (and pay SS tax payments) over decades to receive any meaningful benefit (starting at age 62). True most people are homeless due to mental health problems and addiction, but there are some that are living out of cars (while working) because they cant afford exorbitant rent or home prices skyrocketing beyond wages due to inflation caused by FED policy. Unfortunately, if you have been under employed or are young in the U.S. , The Social Security “safety net” does not exist. It appears that neither of our SS systems are ideal unless you are tied to the corporate socialist security system where the Central Banks funnel trillions of dollars directly into the pockets of financial asset holders who are exposed to zero risk. Risk is an essential component to a true capitalist economy. What we all have now is a socialist economy that steels from the poor and gives to the rich. Robin Hood! Where are you when we need you?

@ US Citizens can ‘Buy’ NZ Citizenship for a few M$llion, and during the COVID years, a lot did. Don’t hear much about them now since the ‘Pandemic’ Ended 🤔
Anyway Mark, you’re correct about the Underemployment & insane price of Housing: - people living in their Cars & Tents ⛺️ is just a Recent thing here - the numbers have Exploded Since COVID.
Our House prices have DOUBLED in the last 7 Years, and with Central Bank interest (Ponzi-Scheme) rates Doubling too, it’s put a LOT of people out on the Streets…..

Just seeing this. Wow, it really is happening everywhere now. I am concerned for my kids and their friends. They actually share their desparate thoughts and confusion about their future with me. I'm afraid something drastic must happen to reverse this course and make the world better for them.
