    Holy Cow!! Great work, great detail. Next time, when you fire the motor, could you please silence the tunes? I want to hear that aluminator!!! Thank you - - - - What a beauty!!

    i've been trying to talk my dad in going in on a build and his excuse is always not having a dedicated shop space.... dude built this in his two car garage with nothing special but time and attention to detail. Excellent job.

    Awesome project! I took the easy way out and ls swapped my Miata, but at some point I really want to stick the drivetrain from my car into a factory 5 coupe and this was a huge inspiration

      Sounds good, but bit of warning, Chevy engines in these daytonas/cobras don't sell well, it's not a problem if you intend to keep it, but keep that in my if you ever think in the future you'd want to sell it.

    Quick question, is welding necessary? Or is that a modification you did for track purposes?

    • @cobradaytonabuild1671
      @cobradaytonabuild1671  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Welding not required unless you want to modify or change things. I always do. Great question. Thank you.

      Thank you for watching and commenting. It was ready to drive in a little over six months. Dmv crap took a couple and then drove it in primer for many months before paint. So within a year it was done.

    Looks like your work was fantastic. Was the quality of the kit, as good as you hoped, or was it a lot of time resolving snags?

      This was my second kit from Factory Five so I guess that tells you what I think. They aren’t perfect but after seeing some other brands I think they are the easiest to assemble, plus you have the amazing group on the factory five forum to assist in any way. Like a family.

    Thanks for all the content! This whole process has been a blast to watch! I've really wanted to build one of these or the cobra for some time, and watching this process has made it seem way less daunting. As sacrilegious as it would probably be, Im leaning towards a mach-e crate engine or a similar, especially with regulations and seeing future improvements in those systems. Im thinking it would make a lovely unique daily driver with an electric, with some track ability. Whereas this system the DD aspect might be a bit harder.
    I think a cool concept video would be that now you've completed it, some "lessons learned." I think early on you mentioned you had also build a cobra earlier. So some of the things you've learned from both builds. If you were building another what would you have done differently? what are some must have tools? what did you think would have been a good idea that turned out to not be so good? what far off idea surprised you? what would you recommend people save their money on? stuff like that.

    • @eliseon8573

      Engine
      Transmission
      Wheels and tyres
      Paint
      Brake components, sometimes
      But all can be included if you have a donor car, example 1995 mustang 5.0 for a daytona

      @@mattwalker8709 Dude, who asked you? And it was constructive feedback for the next time this guy decides to make a video. Way too many videos have been made with overpowering soundtracks and this is one of them. Want more likes? Tone down the music. It's common knowledge at this point. If you don't like this guy's comment, go watch some other video this guy didn't comment on. This is a good video except for the way overuse of music.

    Why the welding? Thought the chassis was fully built?

    • @cobradaytonabuild1671
      @cobradaytonabuild1671  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wanted to make the chassis more like the R model but still useable on the street. The r model has side intrusion bars and the windshield bars. I welded in all but those two items. Plus the CHp said they would register with the windshield bars.

    I wonder how many kits were abandoned because in reality they were not do it yourself, but were too complicated for the buyer to finish.

    Why play that $hit music while the car is running??

  • @No-vm7go
    @No-vm7go ปีที่แล้ว +6

    If you MUST put in a music track, at least make it barely audible. No one, and I mean NO ONE watches automotive (or motorcycle, boat, airplane, helicopter, etc) videos to listen to music and not everyone has the same or even similar musical tastes. JUst comment on what you're looking at or doing. That's a lot more useful to us car guys than whatever music your wife or kid chose to back the video with. You'll get more likes by following this advice. It's constructive. Don't take it personally like 98% of people FEEL the NEED to. Not everything is a commentary on your soul.
