The very best DirectConnect presentation I have every seen. Great job there Steve !!!
Great video. I had to watch it twice since my brain exploded the first time but after digesting it a bit its definitely the best VPN/DX video out there
Very impressive session about AWS Networking!
Excellent technical session
Excellent and very clear presentation
Really good presentation - heavy stuff, but digestible
Really helpful thanks so much.
A good teaching session even though this is an old video.
Cant Digest this information.. Have to view this multiple rounds..
Thank you so much for this video. At 14:00, you speak of connecting 2 customer datacenters to 2 different VPCs for 8 tunnels. Are you able to share how this is possible with BGP? how is that configured exactly?
QUESTION: At around the 38m mark the presenter says that customers can raise a case should we not have a public IP that we want to expose to eBGP - and AWS 'will issue them a /31 with two addresses.' Uhm...doesn't he mean a /30 that has (2) usable IP's (plus the network & broadcast IP's)? I've always been taught that /31 is unusable.
/31 is most definitely usable. You just get warnings in some CLI's when using them to ensure you are applying them in a scenario that does not require a network and broadcast IP address, i.e a point to point connection. Wasting two IP
addresses on a point to point connection is silly.
Cloud you please let us know how to upgrade my DX from 100 mbps to 200mbps
Steve Seymour is a Cloud Networking Superhero, Awesome Presentation!
