The Danes made the Madsen full auto almost from the beginning
My Madsen is a semi auto rebuilt one as I explained. Also they were definitely not full auto until the 1902 version.

Look up the Musketen Battalions of WWI, and small numbers were used from the entire Danish stockpile the Germans captured in WWII
The germans used it alot in ww1, not much in ww2 bc they had the MG34.
I'm sure the waffle SS grabbed some, the Germans used everything serviceable. Lots of commercial Lugers and machine pistols were pressed into service.
