This song is like my opiate addicton's theme song, goosebumps and horrific n glorious images flash every time I hear this masterpiece. The ups and downs of being an addict are no joke and im glad im almost on the other side after a 11+ years opiate battle that led to things I would have never done, places I never wanna see again. I almost lost eveything literally, everyone and even myself for over a decade and was for sure gonna end up dead if I had continued to chase the rush. In out patient now and still slowly picking up the pieces and am so behind in life now its not even funny, so anyways every time I think of using I remember how amazing the high was of being in an internal state of nirvana but also how low.. low can be and feel, wanting to die to take the sickness and pain away, everything I lost and how far in such a short time I have come. This song reminds me of it all the good and the bad, and I think as long as I remember both I should be ok in the future. RIP to Brad Renfro the true inspiration of this song
I hope you can find your way out of that wasteland. We are all hoping you recover well. Regardless if you're a theist or not, I'll be praying for your recovery. Much love.
And no, no more thieving for me, im actually one of the few opiate addicts that maintained my job that im proud to say ive been at for 9 years in March and still at to this day
This is the original, it was also used for the original music video before they released two new ones (including their most recent one that is on their youtube channel)
The echoes in this cut are hauntingly beautiful.
This version is sooooo much better. Best one IMO
I actually love the different albums having some same songs. They are always different. It's like finding an alolan pokemon!
Man I'm so glad I found this. The music video popped up and I was like daaaaaaaamn it's been so long, but it sounded like crap. Glad to find this!
This version smokes the re-recording. But in all fairness, it's a good song nonetheless.
True
This version is so much better!
Actually, I think this sounds heavier.
Best version of this song!
Right???

all nu metal is an opiate addiction theme song
Interesting how this song is on both this one and on the autumn effect
this version low key reminds me of the 2001 self titled Breaking Benjamin EP.
That EP version of Medicate's bassline is so much better
I see it. The vocals have that Burnley influx even
Always thaught the auttem affect was there first album then hear this and into the half moon
This is great
I think this is the original one the ending doesn’t have the words should I, Could I after the faster guitar part
