- After Spider-Man Miles proved that smaller spinoffs can work in large AAA franchises, another story Insomniac could tackle is a prequel showcasing the origins of Peter Parker as Spider-Man in their universe! Other options could be a Venom game, a Black Cat/Silver Sable game, or a Spider-Woman game. What would you like to see Insomniac tackle after Spider-Man 2?

A Spider-Man: Origin game would be fantastic overall. I think most of us can agree that we would love to see that happen at some point but since this is more of a wishful dream to have, I’m just satisfied enough that we got the collectible backpacks in the 2018 game to fill in those gaps and provide insight about Peter’s 8-year journey of becoming and being Spider-Man
Absolutely! Insomniac did a great job with the world building of their universe.

Their world building is one of my favorite aspects of that game and I honestly can’t even imagine how much excitement I have for Spider-Man 2 since it’s already looking like it’ll top everything from the previous games but better and much more refined. It’s insane to the point where it could very well be another Arkham City type for Insomniac. They are pure geniuses when it comes to their unique craft.
Spider-Man 2 could easily be my favorite superhero game of all time-that’s really saying something because I LOVE Arkham City.
@@Irogen Hell yes. I love Arkham City too. My favorite Arkham game of all time will always hold that special spot in my heart but who knows, Spider-Man 2 does have the potential to overthrow it. October can’t come soon enough man 😩
I always thought that a prequel showing off Peter’s college life similar to Spider-Man TNAS would be AWESOME
I would love this game so much and it’s just crazy how perfect things could be
Having Peter test his powers is the perfect way to introduce or in this case reintroduce game mechanics
Having him fight the wrestler is a perfect first boss
We could build up a stronger relationship with this universes Harry Osborn either strengthening our connection to him in the third game or more likely making his likely death more painful and sad on replay
And we could see the start of his rivalry with Kingpin even if he isn’t the main villain
I think a “Spider-Man Origins” would work with Fisk as the main villain. Picture this. The man who killed Uncle Ben worked for Fisk, and as Spider-Man tracks down his uncle’s killer, he unravels a plot by Fisk to control all the crime in the city. This is where he first meets Detective Yuri Watanabe, who is investigating the Magia before they are forced underground by Fisk. Yuri is initially not very trusting of Spider-Man, but as the game progresses, they begin to work together, and he gains her trust. It’s mentioned in the first game how the first time Peter fought Fisk, “Fisk cut Peter open like a pork sausage” with a sword, causing Peter to escape and collapse on MJ’s lawn and she had to drive him to the hospital. This is probably when MJ found out he’s Spider-Man and we could get to see this play out. The final fight would not be against Fisk, because I don’t think Fisk can actually go to jail before the first game, but rather against the man who killed Uncle Ben…Aaron Davis aka The Prowler
According to the characters bios after fighting Wilson Fisk for the first time. Fisk go to jail just for 2 to 4 hour with Peter discovering short after how much the city was under his control.
Considering how far Insomniac has come, it would probably be DLC. However, I wouldn’t be mad if we got the title “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Origins”. We might even get the classic suit with the original webbed pits that are exposed and not built into the suit, which may be a cool addition.
As for the game about young Peter, I think that first there will be a classic Peter was bitten by a spider Flint Marco (sandman) killed Uncle Ben Peter fought against a boxer in the ring and against Flash Thompson at school and then there were 3 arcs, namely the arc with the lizard, the sandman and Mysterio also beat all the other villains from the first part.
The villains of 1 and 2 game having their origins AND The main villain of this Origin game being the Black Cat and Kingpin Since these two are connected and Always together,as Peter always mentioned them in the first game,there is a lot of history and the first meetings with them and also Others new villains that have references/Easter eggs in the 2 games that Peter has faced in this universe Are they:
Chameleon,The Enforcers,Tarantula,Swarm,Crime Master/Big Man And finally The Rose/the Kingpin's son I really hope it happens In the future we need this game 🤔🥺😃🙏👍like and Bye!
If not in video game format, they should definitely make a comic book series detailing Peter’s life as Spider-Man. They can start it from the spider bite all the way up until the events of the first game and they can even keep going through that if they want.
Would be cool dlc OR similar to Miles Morales like you said. This concept does remind me of the cancelled Web of Shadows sequel, that featured repaying iconic Spider-Man stories.

I've always thought this was a good idea since we are pretty much invested in this world a prequel game would actually work.

LewisFiction said he's gonna make a fan fiction prewrite of that. And I believe a Peter Parker Origin story would be definitely q good idea. That way people know how Yuri Watanabe trusted him and how MJ found out he was Spider-Man. Though I wonder who the main bad guy would be for that. My thoughts are on Mysterio and his illusions?

I do hoped we get to see Gwen stacy in the flashback once since she hasn't been mentioned in two games as of now my only guess is that Peter hasn't met someone special like her yet in either High school or College so this is the first time in his life he'll meet someone as beautiful as MJ pretty much I can think she'll be in Marvel's Spider Man 3 somehow?

To be brutally honest, is it fair to say prequel stories can be overrated? Especially if it’s been told exhaustingly so many times for iconic superheroes. Unless it serves something completely interesting. But because Insomniac Games do such a good job adapting these stories, it would he somewhat cool to see how they would tell a prequel Peter origin story in their take. Not hating on the thought, but not something I’m in crazy need to see. Lol Especially now. It would be milking in my opinion. The way they established how long he’s been Spider-Man already in that first game was so insanely perfect, and why it was so refreshingly relieving. I mean I never find myself crying that we didn’t see Peter get bitten by a spider, and see Uncle Ben die for the 11th time… Or just, Sam Rami’s Spider-Man Insomniac Edition. :p
Fair enough-my only rebuttal is that this story hasn’t really been told in the video game medium before, but you are correct that we have seen it a lot in the past. I can also see how it could feel like a devolved narrative after the current stories from Insomniac.
@@Irogen Now that you mention it, I guess in any video games they usually do jump right into he’s been Spider-Man already. If not, mostly. I’m not a fan of going backwards if they already made the decision to not make an entire game around an origin story. Lol If such game were to happen, they’d REALLY have to do something interesting narratively, without feeling downgraded to fit the story maybe. Or something meaningful for future events. I don’t want been there done that. :p
